Bottle at home in London - sourced from Beermerchants or something. Pours clear red-brown with a slim, creamy topping. The aroma has ripe berries, toffee, hearty bread, impressions of fruitcake. Medium sweet flavour with lots more ripe berry character, toasted sugars, brown bread, minimal bitterness. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Finishes with more toasted sugars, brown bread, ripe berries, moderate toffee. Pretty smooth overall. Enjoyable.

Bottle poured into a snifter. The beer is a darker brown with a beige head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is sweet and has notes of raisin and nuts. Sweet and a bit boozy in the taste. Thicker mouthfeel and low carbonation.

Dark pour with a standard-looking beige head. Aroma is sweet and chocolaty. Nothing wrong with the taste but the chocolate / toasty notes are closer to cheap Halloween candy and toasted white bread and than Valrhona and, uh, some exceptional toasted item. Hides the abv exceptionally well.

Draft - Rich brown color. Dry malty flavor but for the most part the beer is nondeScript. Not a bad beer but nothing that blows my doors off.

Some roast and way too much caramel. Far too syrupy for my liking. Pours dark brown with ok head. Light sweet and mash finish. Bottle.

New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle: pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is dark fruits, light roast, and sugar. Tste is light chocolate... Caramel and sugary jawns. Pretty simple and to the point. It is almost like a porter. Not bad.

Firemans Brew Brunette has a thin, cream-colored head, a dark, reddish-brown appearance, some visible bubbles, and minimal lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, roasted malt, and the flavor is of dark bakers chocolate, sweet brown or black bread crust, and low-level hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Firemans Brew Brunette finishes crisp, refreshing, and NOT boozy. RJT
