Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. Pours a clear, deep red appearance with a light brown head. A touch fruity, burnt caramel malty, somewhat herbal/piney hoppy, slightly spicy, albeit uninspired aroma. Metallic, burnt malty, bitter herbal hoppy, tangy flavor. Too much metal.
UPDATED: SEP 8, 2017 Pours a clear copper color with an off white head. Aromas of malt. Slightly sweet flavor from the malt. Little lacing in the glass. Light palate and decent clean finish. tightslice (1525) - Redwood City, California, USA - JUN 11, 2017
Bottle from World Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is caramel, sorghum, lozenges. Taste is caramel with some thin metallic notes that finishes with bitterish herbal lozenges. Not too bad for an Amber Ale. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - NOV 24, 2016
Bottle from Total Wine & More, McLean. Dark amber body with thin head. Nose is malty, caramel, sweet. Taste is of caramel up front, brown sugar, malts and cinnamon and spices. Decent. SudsMcDuff (8538) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - AUG 18, 2016
12 ounce bottle .. . i have an aversion to ambers, but this was solid .. . malty sweetness is on point, very little hop bitterness .. mouth is mild but not scared .. a pretty boring beer but a solid amber .. . . 12oz bottle on my daughters patio on 21st May 2016, into a Corsendonk tulip glass. Dark mahogany body, off-white wisp and collar. Malty blend with semi-sweet molasses ruling the nose and taste. Decent, but a bit ’one dimensional’. joshvong (7) - Martinsburg, West Virginia, USA - DEC 9, 2015 does not count
This was really good, not to strong. Color was great, taste was smooth. Definitely can’t wait to try more. cheap (6202) - CHINA - OCT 8, 2015

From a bottle, very dark for an amber. First taste is rather malty fer sure. So, mendocino it is! Metallic aroma. Probably shouldah cooled it more. Yes, lots of flavor. Alky is apparent. Finish leaves you wishing for more carbonation. burg326 (5628) - Florida, USA - JUL 18, 2015
Poured a caramel red color with aromas of caramel and malt a touch of grass. Flavors are the same with caramel and Light hops. Decent amber ale with some decent flavor. ronaldtheriot (2019) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUN 4, 2015
Fireman’s Brew Redhead Ale has a thin, off-white head, a mostly clear, rust-red appearance, and minimal lacing left on the glass. The aroma is muted, but one can, with deep inhalation, pick up sweet, roasted malt. Taste is of the same, with mild hop bitterness and brown bread crust. Mouthfeel is mostly on the light and watery side, and Fireman’s Brew Redhead finishes fairly crisp and highly drinkable. RJT
