Clear purple brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, molasses, alcohol, spicy touch, soft roast. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: very sweet, lots of alcohol, chocolate, bitter. Aftertaste: molasses, caramel. Very nice one!
Thank you ElManana+1! 655 ml. bottle sampled @ "Adam Chandler Visiting (for real this time)" Tasting. Black, little mocha bubbles. Nose has some varnish styled alcohol, faint plastic, boozy molasses & chocolate syrup. Taste is better nice mocha chocolate, boozy, varnish alcohol, chocolate, low red grape (the oxidation?), molasses, sugar, pralines. Molasses, near oxidation body. Heavy malty aroma, chocolate, cookie, caramel, toffee, vanilla, drk dried fruits, some smoked notes, wood, alcohol. Sweet and bitter like aroma. Bottle shared at Ratebeer awards show. 30/01/2016. Huge thanks! A clear reddy mahogany brown coloured pour with a small tan head. ARoma is layered cakey toffee, vanilla, boozy barley wine, hint age and mint. Flavour is composed of sweet cakey malts, toffee, mint, nutty malts, hint of boozey dried fruits. Bottle at RBGT. Pours dark brown. Fresher aroma than 12 and 13, but also heavier and boozier, with more caramel. A little less to my taste.

Six years in, and this bear is beautiful. Deep dark pour, still abundant but not aggressive carbonation. Massive complexity, tons of plum, tobacco, lots of wood. A bit a booze but not heavily so. Bottle shared as part of a 14-19 vertical tasting. The first in the series surprised everyone by how well it held up. Even 6 years later, there’s very little evidence of any oxidization, and the flavors have clearly mellowed and evolved. Strong, chewy chocolate dominated the flavor, although there was a good amount of oak, booze, and coffee flavor as well. Just enough sweetness to round out and compliment the chocolate. Not sure why I let this sit for so long - 5 or 6 years? Thanks to some great RB for trading this to me. - WOW! Bourbon Aged? YEPP!!! So kann also Bier schmecken!!! Extremst in vielerlei Hinsicht und definiert unser Lieblingsgetränk mal ganz anders. Heftige Wein, Sherry und Whiskeyflavours sind permanent und dominant präsent. Megaintensiv, unfassbar schwer und knospenspaltend. 0,1/4€ beim KIELER CRAFT BEER DAY TWO 2016....und Ratty hat gleich nochmal Nachschlag geholt ....ein wahrer Geniesser 😏 .
