VIII. Deep reddish ruby colour, small beige head. Aroma ia mild fruits, some plum, a bit of hops and quite big time chocolate. Flavour is chocolate, some raisins and some toasted and coffeeish notes in the finish.
Another spectacular bottle from GT2, thanks very much! Very dark brown color, grayish white head. Aroma of vanilla, boozy coffee, whiskey. Taste is scotch whiskey, anise, Irish coffee. Too much stuff in this one. Artificial complexity.

Almost opaque brown - amber beer. Short lived pale tan head. Smooth semi dry palate. Slightly soft with mild fine carbonation. Smooth malt with a trace of toffee. Nice vanilla wood and smooth bourbon and brandy. Subtle sweet red fruits underneath. Mild alcohol burn. Licorice. Semi dry finish. Smooth and well integrated but I wish I had been patient enough to leave this for awhile.
Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of anders37. Pours a clear reddish brown with a small off-white head. Heavy booze hits you straight away revealing more subtle layers of alcohol, wood and vanilla. Solid body, sweet caramel, loads of bourbony oak. licorice all-sorts, vamilla - you know the drill. Not sure I get the "citrus zest" at all - the oak and booze overpowers all subtleties. Warming alcohol finish. Very enjoyanle - as always in this series. 030312 Leighton (21837) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2012
Keg at Brouwerij Lane, Brooklyn. Pours clear, dark ruby with a fine foam head. Brown sugar nose, sweet malts, some of which are tangy. Big sweet, brown sugar flavor, some bourbon, toast, light roast, burnt sugar and wood. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish with light sting, wood, bourbon, brown sugar. A bit boozy overall, but still lots of nuance peeking through. Very good.
