22oz bottle, shared by DanielCoor. Very dark brown, near black reddish clear color. Minimal khaki head. Few loose dots of lace. Great cookie dough, brownie batter, vanilla aromas. Great, rich bourbon barrel character. Smooth, kind of soft lighter carbonation. Bigger body. Head fades to virtually nothing. Moderate sweet taste, some light burn in the finish, light bitter. A bit boozy, but a solid American strong ale. Prefer this to 14 by quite a bit, though it’s not nearly as good as 15 in my experience. IndianaRed (5031) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 7, 2013
Bottle, shared with Frahmo deep dark down with faint light tan head. Big soft burning woody aroma with caramel and overripe prunes and raisins. Fairly hot and boozy and moderate to thin bodied. Dish burning flavors Lighter than a stout, very faded hoppiness and federally delicious. Clearly has some age in the bottle. pilgrimoutlaw (888) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 7, 2013
On tap at TJ’s for their 10th anniversary event. Pours nearly black reddish brown with filmy tan surface head. Alcohol, vanilla, toffee, roast, oatmeal, coffee. Moderately bitter and sweet. Full, sticky body. Not nearly as good as the XV was. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - DEC 5, 2013
anaother amazing Firestone Beer, amazing rich, complex. ruby dark pour, bourbony, woody, caramel & toffee richness, wisps of maple, chocolate, vanila.....the list goes on. Allw orks together seemlessly. well done harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 5, 2013
Saw this in the store, decided to try it.
Pours a toasted, dark tawny with a rim and confluent etching of light tan foam. Smells of bourbon, alcohol, cocoa powder, baker’s chocolate, hints of resin, some oak, a bit of bing cherry, some vanilla and nougat. Taste is boozy up front, sweet, some bourbon, some cherries, vanilla, marzipan, bits of oak and tawny porto. Medium bodied with lower carb and a wet finish. A nice beer, a very enjoyable beer. I’m starting to think that this series is worth a try annually, but not really worth the money it demands to get into the bottle....

This one poured a dark red to brown color with a small beige head. Aroma was pretty much all barrel, oak and alcohol. Flavor was similar really, great example of barrel aging, but the qualities of the individual beers are really not there. TBone (18223) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 21, 2013

Dark opaque ruby color, steady beige head. Vanilla dominates the aroma, maybe some dark fruits too. Medium to full-bodied. Very mellow, covers alcohol completely. Sweetish, vanilla. Very complex and pleasant. I like really much of these anniversary brews.
Super tasty, quite a mouthfull. Oily and heavy. This beer sports a complex buffet of aromas including dark cherry, coffee, chocolate, and lots of roasty malt goodness. Excellent blend! Miked1687 (608) - Buffalo, New York, USA - NOV 19, 2013
Draft at coles. Dark Reddish Brown with a medium khaki head. Nose is caramel and toffee with some fruity boozy notes. Taste is malty up front that moves into a Bourbon chocolate body that has some notes of coconut. Semi bitter finish.
