Bottled @ Zeebra #2. Sampled 5cl. The aroma is a bit weak, but putting the nose a bit more in and over the glass results in tones of raisin, grape, wine, bourbon, different fruits. Brown coloured beer with a very thin head. The taste is quite on the bourbon side, has sherry and a rather dry finish. Quite thin. It is nice to taste such a ridiculous blend, but it remains just that; a ridiculous blend. No balance, too thin. Bit a waste of all these ingredients, barrels, effort, etc. But to end positive, the aroma is quite nice. :-) solidfunk (8943) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 21, 2014
Good, very much so, but I feel there’s almost too much going on here to keep track of. Heavy barrel presence, with tequila especially evident and some oak and bourbon. Pours brown with red tint and decent head and lacing. I liked this year’s a little better than this one. It does get better as it goes down. Tap at Meridian Pint. Gerardgathier (512) - - MAY 8, 2014

Bottled @ Zeebra #2, small sample. Dark color, medium head. Aroma of grapes, raisin, vanilla. Bit bitter, vinous. Bit dry in the finish. Very complex, but not very good balanced. Finish is a bit too dry. Nice stuff, but a bit too much. PriorL (3068) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAY 4, 2014

Great beer. Sweet malt, with notes of cacao and coffee. Barrel aging gives the beer a deep vanilla smoothness. Very good. Abijen (2571) - ’s-Hertogenbosch, NETHERLANDS - MAY 3, 2014
Pours a dark red brown beer with a good tan head. Smells bourbon, bit fruity, little sour. Tastes chocolate, coffee and bourbon. Low carbo, medium body and a oily texture. Bosbouw (2919) - Gemonde, NETHERLANDS - MAY 3, 2014
Zwarte kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt fruitig, koffie, crème. Smaakt bitter, drop en alcohol. Zware nasmaak. Huhzubendah (3705) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 1, 2014

The beer is mahogany with crimson / russet highlights and a half inch of khaki head. Nice looking beer. Aromas of booze, vanilla, molasses, bourbon, brown bread, etc. No doubt a complex beer. The flavor is a bit boozy and muddled. Not bad, per se, but certainly not on par with some of favorites of the series. The body is a tad thin, with alcohol heat becoming a bit distracting at times. Perhaps this beer didn’t take as kindly to a little bit of aging as one would expect? Anyhow, this is good, but disappointing considering the greatness of other FW Anniversary ales. djd07 (14471) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 12, 2014
On tap at Backcountry Pizza. Pours a dark brown with medium creamy beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong roasted malt, nuts, chocolate, oak. Thick mouthfeel with sweet roast, vanilla, light booze, silky finish. Yes
