Taste is boozier malt syrup, bourbon, brandy, sugar, sweet, low maple, touch molasses, pralines, all the thick sweet goodness you could want, body is likewise,… Damn. This series remains so tight. kraddel (9424) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JUL 29, 2017
Pours very dark brown. Small white head. Smell is bit booze, some oak. Taste is full, sharp bourbon, boozy notes. Mild raisins, nice mouthfeel and carbonation. A bit harsh on the boozyness as it goes in, but it quickly mellows out during the taste . Nice jake65 (4035) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - JUL 9, 2017
Bottle share, thanks Stevoj. Dark brown pour with a modest tan head. The aroma is decadent… one of those pours I could sit around and just sniff all evening. Great barrel notes, chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, mocha… wonderful aroma. The taste delivers a balanced blend of barrel notes to go with the layers of sweetness in the blend. Lots of influence from the bourbon barrel, chocolate, vanilla, coconut. A little bit of dark pitted fruit. Seamless layers of flavor. An excellent beer.
