650ml bottle. Pours an unclear red-brown with lots of sediment floating around and a small, short lived, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of chocolate malt, caramel, toffee, figs, dates, raisins, cherry, vanilla, bourbon and oak. Sweet flavour of chocolate malt, caramel, toffee, light roast, brown sugar, figs, dates, raisins, cinnamon, cherry, vanilla, licorice, molasses and oak with a warming bourbon finish. Full body with a creamy, smooth, sticky texture and soft carbonation. Simply amazing and downright sinful. A world class and possibly even worlds best ASA. balloonbuffoon (389) - - AUG 15, 2017
Draft in a snifter glass appearing dark in color with next to nothing as far as head. boozy, oaky, toffee aromas and flavors. There is an underlying roasted character too, but overall this is a super heavy brown. Complex and solid. bergstaden (3035) - Røros, NORWAY - AUG 10, 2017
Olmost black with off white head - Dark malt aroma with wood, vanilla, and some dark fruity tones - Dark malt body wood, bourbon and vanilla with dark fruity flavours with some hints of hop bitterness - The dark malt and fruity flavours along with wood and bourbon goes into a long finish that has the alcohol well hidden - This was real good coachd (860) - Missouri, USA - AUG 2, 2017
Smells surprisingly light, some Belgian candi sugar and dark fruit. Very dark brown with no head. Tastes of bourbon barrel, chocolate and brown sugar. Very drinkable, not harsh. Slick and smooth palate. I wouldn't give this 100 but I would gladly drink it again.

It pours deep brown with a very small head. The aroma has caramel, toffee, heavy toast, vanilla, coconut, horehound candy and some woody barrel. It has a smooth rich body with light sharp carbonation. The taste is big and rich with the aroma notes and a bit of booze. Unsurprising a huge winner here.

22oz bottle pours a dark brown color without much head. Silly smooth texture. Rich yet mild bourbon flavors balance perfectly. Nice molasses sugars.

650ml bottle from ck1 shared by all - guessing originally from GregMac - on ck1 birthday trip. Had head-to-head with 19. Pours very black. Aroma has sweet malts and vanilla. Taste is of the same; sweet vanilla plus booze. Smooth sweet and tasty, if young. As ever - solid. 15.1 unclemike (3146) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - MAY 29, 2017

Bottle via trade, HUGE thanks to Travis! Pours a dark cola color, small foamy head, leaves little lace. Copper hues and a dark core. Aromas are insane! Wet oak, dates, fig, plum, roasted nuttiness, coffe, vanilla and a splash of bourbon. Taste is just as good! Incredible balance of toffee, caramel, plum, fig with a medium-heavy body of deep roasted malts, tiny bitter hops, light coffee, leather, tobacco and earth. Such depth is rarely found these days without compromising balance. This beer was exceptional! More please!
