COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s not a unique idea, but one that everyone on the Central Coast understands… Call something “805” and it means local. As a regional craft brewer we have always known that the closer the beer is to where it was brewed, the fresher it is. In fact since 1996 our brewery has been built on fresh, local beers for the Central Coast…. so we created a beer just for our locals in the “805”.

Hope you like it… FW

22 FL OZ ($5.99) very unimpressive beer. taste is like wheat grass. super low ABV. not worth your time if youre serious about beer. PASS

12oz can from Beer52.com. a straw coloured pour with a fast fading white head; grassy aroma; slightly sweet cereal grain taste; with a faint grassy bitterness. More a weak pilsner than a golden ale.

Can, Beer52. Light yellowish gold colour. Hmmm kind of adjuncty and lacking hop. Disappointing rubbish.

Distinctly average - it would be a welcome thirst-quencher after a hot day's work but nothing lifts it above a boring commercial pale beer.

Boring. Could be a can of Bud. It's refreshing but no stand out flavours there at all.

Pours a clear golden colour with average carbonation. Aromas of bready malts and very light hop presence. Tastes like an adjunct lager. Quite light and easy drinking, some hop presence but doesn't offer very much. Disappointing compared to their other beers that I've tried.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2017 Aroma of bread. Taste is quite like a German helles. There is this typical Munich light malt sweetness. Same follows in the after plus some subtle papaya.

This so-called blonde ale is awful. Did they actually use any malted barley to make this? It tastes of cheap grains like corn and rice. The palate is bland and this beer is virtually tasteless, with no malt or hop flavors. I wasted $8.99 on a six pack, and I can’t believe the regular price is $10.99.

Can from Beer52. Golden colour with only a slight head. Aroma light grain. Taste light sweet thin watery body.

December 2017 - 12 fl oz can at home in Richmond as 'Firestone Walker 805', 4.7%. Brewed in California and sent to my front door at a cost of $0.00 to me. Into teku. Pours a golden dark yellow, sparkling, pretty clear with a diminishing off-white head that leaves thick lacing. Aroma is grainy, metallic, sawdust, wood chip, little buttered corn. Body is light with tingly carbonation but quite smooth. Taste is very clean with some butter-tinged malt, sawdust, crisp into the finish with a musty linger. Faint seared corn. Very clean but also very uninspiring. (5-4-4-3-12=2.8)

Very easy beer to drink. I’ll take this over a domestic big brand any day of the week. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
