Cask Lloyds Bar Carlisle. Exceptionally fresh grassy hop aroma leading to a great sharp grapefruit taste. Intense bitterness increases with a lovely prickly sharpness on the back of the throat. Some gooseberry and spruce flavours only add to an exceptionally well made beer. Great stuff. SarkyNorthener (4709) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2013

Darby, Merry Hill. Golden amber beer with small head and some lacing. Aroma of vanilla and hops. Taste is citrus hops and fruity malts. Very nice.

Amber, slight haze, dense white head, some lacing
Aroma - Big fruity hop aroma, tropical fruits, mango, citrus sweet fruits
Taste of tropical fruits, zesty citrus, grapefruit pith, sweet fruity pale malts, stinging resinous hops, touch of peppery spicyness, soft fruity caramel malt, great moreish flavour
Palate - Medium body, pithy fruity bitter palate, sweet malt background. Finish - pithy grapefruit bitterness, hoppy bitter linger with a clean finish.
Overall - So drinkable and moreish - after the excellent Adnams / Avery collab with the 3.5 - this is even better. One of the best beers in Spoons i’ve had in a long while
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2013 Cask conditioned handpump Masque Haunt London 08/07/13. A golden beer with an off-white to grey bubbly head. Beautiful tropical fruity hops in here. Pale malts. Citrus notes are delicious. Very very tasty and very drinkable. I hoped this would be good; I heard it was good but actually it was much better than that. Cask @ The Counting House JDW. Hazy amber brown, good foamy head. Cereal hop aroma. Grapefruit hop flavour. Citrus aftertaste. A decent hoppy pale ale. Did not expect to find something like this brewed for JDW.

Cask at the Willow Walk (JDW), 05/07/13.
Clear golden amber with a decent white head.
Nose is hops, light pine, grapefruit, candyfloss, mango.
Taste comprises juicy hops, good coating of pine, caramel malt, bitter grapefruit, orange pith.
Medium to light in body, soft carbonation, hop bitterness and pine shavings in the finale.
Lovely stuff, one of the best hoppeeeee cask beers I’ve encountered, eminently drinkable grown up tropical fruit juice. Leighton (21742) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2013
Cask at the Moon Under Water, JDW - London. I finally tracked this sucka down! Pours totally clear gold with a staunch, foamy white head. Big dank hop nose, plenty of ripe citrus, a bit of orange, perhaps some dirty pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with lots of juicy hops, some dirt, nice lightly toasted bready malt backbone, ripe orange, melon, light urine, pine. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly resinous on the finish, lots of ripe and dank citrus, light bread, melon, orange, some lightly tangy tangerine. Really solid effort, this. Probably a Top 10 JDW beer for me. jackl (8271) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 3, 2013
Cask @ Hamilton Hall JDW. Light amber pour with a tiny head. The nose is bright west coast hops. Loads of lemon meat, orange peel, earthy coniferous bitterness. Nice and lively. The taste is fresh, vibrant. More lemon and orange. Slightly chalky. Probably the hoppiest JDW beer ever. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, I can’t get over how good this JDW-commissioned beer is. Pretty tasty. imdownthepub (14943) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 5, 2013
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons, a cheeky cellar run. Hazy gold with slight head. Slightly flabby still but with a definite sharp grapefruity flavour, hoppy and dry, a definite American hop note. Very decent. john44 (3189) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 12, 2014
Two Cask Pints at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in July 2013 - Orangey Gold in colour. Very Hoppy; juicy piney resinous hops; decent hop bite. Very Fruity; oranges and grapefruit citrus, hints of tropical fruits. Malty; grainy malts, caramel. Moderately bitter resinous hoppy and citrus fruity throughout. Very drinkable. Liked this. Excellent APA!
