COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imagine yourself in Berlin’s Tiergarten enjoying this refreshing Berliner Weisse inspired beer on a warm summer’s day. Bretta Weisse honors the traditional beverage of the great Prussian capital, Berlin. Fredrick-the-Great was trained to brew it, and Napoleon’s troops called it “The champagne of the North”. Firm estery notes of stone and tropical fruit lead to Funky, yeasty, citrus aromas. Soft cereal and Oak flavors are enveloped by a firm acidity and tartness. The finish is dry and crisp; a thoroughly enjoyable beverage. At 4.5% ABV, one could imagine enjoying several Bretta Weisse’s in the Tiergarten, or anywhere else. This Berliner Weisse inspired Wheat beer was aged in 1700 gal French Oak horizontal foeders for 8 months.

A golden Weisse with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, beautiful fruity esters overlayed with Brett, light candy sugar, light curacao, pleasant and restrained. Beautiful tart yet sweet citrus pulp, light tropical fruits, Brett, light lactic notes, subdued and complex. On tap at Propagator location.

Lemon, wheat, funch, tart - strong citric acid puckering. Slight wooded notes to balance a nice lengthy finish.

On tap at at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. Pours cloudy yellow orange with white head. Really nice berliner, lemon, citrus, funk, some wood, heavy sourness. Medium carbonation. Light bodied.

rodbod (472) - Motherwell, SCOTLAND - NOV 24, 2017
Growler from Grunting Growler, Glasgow. Hazy pale gold with a white rim. Nose is most fine and complex: elegant spicy perfume (a combination of yeast and oak I think), and under that a tangy chalky tartness like Edinburgh rock. There's also something which might be wet straw. Taste is tart, bright, very very refreshing. Lemon sourness, gentle brett, and a very dry clean finish. Light body, super tart.

Quick3Beers (1556) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 19, 2017
Pours a hazy darkish amber from a bottle, thick white head that stays. Bright tart wheaty aroma, similar flavor but not overly tart, well-balanced. Pretty good beer.

Bottled at TEJA tasting. Hazy golden, mid sized head. Oaky tart nose. Tart with light body and clean, crisp mouthfeel. Oak and lemon, lightly grainy. Low bitterness. Tasty and unique.

Braudog (6939) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - OCT 9, 2017
Bottle, caged and corked. Hazy and yellow with a fizzy essence. Wild and funky, as you'd expect. Super tart and sweet, this fits the advertised bill. I don't love the styel, so don't love this. But I suppose those who do like the style would like it. (#6797, 10/9/2017)

TBone (18663) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2017
Bottle at SBWF. Clear golden color, small white head. Tart, apply aroma. Light-bodied. Tart, apply and citrusy. Active carbonation. Not much weisse here.
