COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imagine yourself in Berlin’s Tiergarten enjoying this refreshing Berliner Weisse inspired beer on a warm summer’s day. Bretta Weisse honors the traditional beverage of the great Prussian capital, Berlin. Fredrick-the-Great was trained to brew it, and Napoleon’s troops called it “The champagne of the North”. Firm estery notes of stone and tropical fruit lead to Funky, yeasty, citrus aromas. Soft cereal and Oak flavors are enveloped by a firm acidity and tartness. The finish is dry and crisp; a thoroughly enjoyable beverage. At 4.5% ABV, one could imagine enjoying several Bretta Weisse’s in the Tiergarten, or anywhere else. This Berliner Weisse inspired Wheat beer was aged in 1700 gal French Oak horizontal foeders for 8 months.

Quick3Beers (1424) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 19, 2017
Pours a hazy darkish amber from a bottle, thick white head that stays. Bright tart wheaty aroma, similar flavor but not overly tart, well-balanced. Pretty good beer.

Bottled at TEJA tasting. Hazy golden, mid sized head. Oaky tart nose. Tart with light body and clean, crisp mouthfeel. Oak and lemon, lightly grainy. Low bitterness. Tasty and unique.

Bottle, caged and corked. Hazy and yellow with a fizzy essence. Wild and funky, as you'd expect. Super tart and sweet, this fits the advertised bill. I don't love the styel, so don't love this. But I suppose those who do like the style would like it. (#6797, 10/9/2017)

Bottle at SBWF. Clear golden color, small white head. Tart, apply aroma. Light-bodied. Tart, apply and citrusy. Active carbonation. Not much weisse here.

2017 bottle from Antenna America. Pours a cloudy bright orange-gold, solid finger of foam. Lovely bright citrus, lactic and funk aroma, underlying oak notes. Funky cheese and yoghurt flavour carried by grain, engaging fizz with citric tartness that softens with the creamy body in the backhalf, ends crisp with lingering lactic notes. Really nice drinking.

Pours clear pale golden colored with a half a finger of white head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with bright stone fruit and wheat malt flavors as well as a very lively mouthfeel. Finishes dry with lemony citrus tartness as well as Brett funk, lacto and oak flavors. Really nice Berliner style brew.

10 oz draft pour at Goed Zuur. Sometimes I see Firestone Walker on a menu and figure that it's definitely going to be good. This was no exception. This is a hazy yellow beer with a very large white head. Funky, rich, amazing aroma of oak, oranges, wool, barnyard, pepper, and cheese. It's extra dry with sturdy acidity, though never harsh. Flavors of oranges, barn, lemon, pineapple, wheat, and oaky white wine are present. Expert.

On tap at the Firestone Walker Event at Takanoya, 1000 yen pints! It poured an orange gold with a minimal head of foam. Big oaky funk, red wine like aroma. Light bodied and nine dry with an intense acidic sour vineous quality, after it warms the oak even gives you a subtle vanilla quality. If you like sours you will adore this. Easy sipper on a hot sunny day, a cool dark evening not so much. Damn good though.
