COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
DDBA is our flagship beer brewed at double strength. It is amazingly similar in many respects to our barrel fermented DBA and possesses everything we love about that beer times two. English caramel malts lend rich toffee character that pairs well with assertive medium toast American oak barrels.

Wow! The barrel aging really shines here. The sweet maltiness hits you first, and the heat from the alcohol takes over. This is a beautifully crafted beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber to snifter. Very sweet brew. Lots of dark fruit sugary barrel aged sweetness. Yummy. A good one to share.

Bottle thanks to professor wade. Pours a dark amber color. Aroma is burnt sugar. Taste is fruity and caramel, quite nice

Draft at 16 Tons, Eugene. Pours a dark brown caramel-like color. Little to no head. Aroma toffee, caramel, roasty notes, booze. A sharp oakiness, too. Body medium, thin booziness, surprisingly thin. Finish charred oak, brusque. Lovely.

Pours a hazy reddish orange with a thin, light beige head. Interesting malty aroma consists of caramel, cherry, vanilla, and bourbon. Its is balanced well without a dominant impression. The taste loses some of the maltiness. Here I find a lot of cherry and bourbon, spruce hops, bread, and light vanilla and apple. To me, the fruity flavors are quite noticeable. LIght sweetness, and a short aftertaste of bourbon and cherry. Medium to light in body, a thin, almost watery texture, and about average carbonation. Fairly easy to drink. Nothing wrong with this one.

On tap, clear mohagany pour with small off white head. Aroma of bourbon, cherries, vanilla, caramel and oak. Taste of toffee, vanilla, bourbon, oakiness, hint of gran marnier, and roasted coconut. ABV a little hot until it warmed up closer to room temps. A little less of the bourbon taste would have scored this much higher, very good beer nonetheless.

Two barrels and neither of them were very good. There just wasn’t much good to say about this beer. Aroma, not good. Appearance was sub par. Taste was so so at best. After taste was no good.

This is an excellent. Beer. Super toffee flavored with a biter finish. Bout dark brown and smells like coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from LUSH. Poured quite dark amber with moderate white head full of sediment. Strong bourbon barrel aroma, stings a lil. Quite smooth balanced bourbon taste, hides booze well. Good stuff.
