One of the best beers I've ever had. Definitely a sipper. So many flavors but caramel is the big offering. A tad syrupy and sweet, but in a good way and very complex.

Dark ruby and clear with decent head and good lacing. Smell vanilla, toasted malt, some yeast and hint of chocolate. Taste is the same with caramel added and a bit of booze. A medium/full mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. A bigger beer than expected. Very nice.

Caramel and malt taste and smell. Warming alcohol on the tongue but not strong taste. Okay.

Light red pour from bomber. Bubbly head. Earthy Grain aroma. Malty and earthy taste. Really good. poisoneddwarf (2648) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Bomber. Pours murky orange-brown with a small collapsing beige head. Aroma is decadent caramel, oaky, raisins, molasses; now that I smell this, I know what a huge component this is to the Firestone Walker Anniversary beers--it smells as delicious as the best of them. Flavor is sweet and savory with a lingering licorice-tinged finish. Body seems a little thin compared to the superior Anniversary beers. I say the Anniversary beers are superior, but that doesn’t mean this is swill; this is truly delicious and masterful--it just seems obvious that it’s but one component that makes those aforementioned beers so good.

On tap at Venti’s South. Oranges and caramel. Creamy. Finish is sticky with a touch of alcohol. hopscotch (11248) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 11, 2013
Bottle... Pours clear, dark and dirty-orange with a small, creamy, off-white head. The nose is an intermingling of toffee, coconut and an unidentified fruity element. Full-bodied and buttery with modest carbonation. The flavor is a sweet stream of gooey caramel and rich vanilla. Lengthy, sweet finish. Kudos to newcigarz for sharing this one with the crew! after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JAN 7, 2013
22, capped. Comes in a box like the 16, but doesn’t have a double-sided sheet of instructions like the 16. Pours an opaque dark amber with a dense and creamy tan head. Big caramel nose, oak showing, toffee, oranges. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Caramel, toffee, vanilla, wood, and oranges on the mid palate. Long sticky sweet finish. jethrodium (366) - Berkeley, California, USA - JAN 2, 2013
On tap. Pours a copper brown with a small tan head settles to a ring and leaves some light lacing on the glass. The aroma is lots of caramel, bourbon, vanilla, and toffee as well as some light oak, a bit of nuttiness, and some sweetness. The taste is sweet with lots of caramel, some oak, some light bourbon, toffee, and a light nuttiness. The finish is toffee and some lingering barrel notes. Medium body. Low carbonation. mcberko (19002) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 30, 2012
22 oz. bottle, pours a fairly clean but hazy dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, booze, brown sugar and some butterscotch. Flavour is very rich, with thick caramel, butterscotch, loads of alcohol (without burning too much), and some light notes of dark fruits. Very complex, hugely viscous mouthfeel and well-balanced. Excellent heavy-hitter here. Firestone Walker have succeeded again.
