COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2013 Good choice. Big citrus flavor. (Grapefruit) I enjoy how the heat from the high abv is masked by the malt. The hops is the most prominent flavor, though. (To my enjoyment) Really liked this one. A potential favorite.

Pours gold with large white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and citrus hops. Taste is the same with a large malty backbone. Very nice.

Botled on 1/30-13. Pours golden with little head. Aroma is packed with fresh hops - melon, grapefruit, orange zest, even at more than three months it still smells really fresh. A very balanced malt note, straw and cereal-like, matching the pungent hop profile perfectly. The taste is amazing as well. Pungent hops all the way through, resting on a perfect and very simple malt foundation that has just enough body and crispiness to stand up to the assertive hop profile. The 9,5% dont show at all, and it is dangerously drinkable for the abv. This is an ideal double ipa for me - crisp and clean, although still pronounced malt profile, and a bright and citrusy hop profile. Excellent!

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours a golden amber color. Nose is pine, citrus, hops. Flavor is hops, resin, citrus/grapefruit/orange with malt. Reminds me a lot of Pliny the Elder - balanced and delicious.

Great double IPA. Very crisp. Decent lacing. Not overpoweringly hoppy. Seems like a nice change of pace from the knock you over with a blast of hops beers so prevalent today. Big taste. Great with pizza! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ery clear darkish gold pour with a very nice fat white head and real good lacing. Great hop aroma, a little sweet and citrusy. Flavor was a little sweet as well, more citrus and a slight fruitiness as well, not to mention a nice lingering dose of hops that lasted for awhile, very well done

I am kicking myself for not bring more than a single 12 ounce bottle of this stellar beer back from NYC. Pours golden with a more than ample white head. Smells piney and astringent. The piney hops are well balanced by the sweet malty flavors. But for the barely-too-bitter finish, this beer would have reached Hop Slam heights. My beer was bottled in January. Thus, I hope to re-rate with a fresher version when possible. Terrific beer. Will seek out whenever I can. Bottle - Whole Foods Bowery - New York, NY

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2013 Drank at rooftop bar in St Louis. Pours a honey color. Very flavorful: citrus, caramel, some bitter hops in the finish. Hides the alcohol. A wonderful double. Would put in class of Dogfish Head 90. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
