COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

A plethora of citrus and pine needle scents pass through your senses. Appearance might be the weakest part of this beer. Flavor is really good. Hop bursts, which are mellowed nicely with plenty of malts. Really well balanced. Alcohol is barely detectable. Very solid beer, Im glad I was able to try. Its been a while since Ive been wowed by a beer; this one sure fits that mold.

Bottle pour..orange 2ipa color..average head..aroma is moderate malt..with some perfume and herb notes..orange..apricot presence as well..taste is interesting..leads to an almost puckering experience in the mouth...has some sour like action in a double..unique..mouthfeel is clean and does hide the abv well..not really getting much pine presence here..which I prefer more of in the style..

Bottle from downtown liquors, south lake union, seattle wa. Pours a slightly murky orange. No head to speak of. Amazing citrus hop, pineapple, fresh doughy malt, and perhaps coconut scent. Detectable bitterness in aroma too. Smooth IPA flavors. Melon, pineapple, and orange citrus tastes with some solid bitter malt. Perfect blend, actually pretty light. Kind of low carbonation, solid juicy mouthfeel and very clean finish. This is a great, mild imperial IPA with tropical flavors mixed in.

This very well may be the finest dipa out there. Certainly my top pick, and although there is a lot of choices these days you could only do right with this double jack. A handsome brew for sure!

Pours clear copper-amber with a head of bone white soft foam that fell gracefully to some really gorgeous lace. The entire inside of the glass is coated with fine white lace. Beautiful! Nose is tantalizing. Tropical fruits, tangerine, melon, doughy malt, nutty, grass and floral with a tad bit of spice in back. Alcohol doesnt come to the nose at all. Smells clean and vibrant. You could describe the nose as glowing its so animated. Taste follows the nose. You are greeted with oily hop resins and bitter, those delicious fruits all juicy and some nutty flavor from the strong caramel malt that has more bread than you think. Finishes dry with good bitter, earth and dank.

This was one of the most artful west coast DIPAs Ive had. Everything in balance and playing off one another. Bitter like crazy but not offensive. Fruits were so juicy up against the alcohol dryness and hop bitter. Alcohol is a little bit on the palate but it belongs there. You are left with the sweet taste of pine like a gracious afterthought. Smooth, really smooth. Original, strapping, unconfined.

Bottle: Pours a glowing copper/orange color with a large creamy sand colored head. Intense aroma permeates the room; citrus, pine, and caramel. Potent. The flavor highlights the quality of the indgrediants, but without being an abrasive hop bomb. Huge citrus and tropical fruit notes, caramel, and lingering pine resin... all things good in a DIPA. In my eyes, this really hits the mark for the style.
