COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Jack IPA is our first ever Imperial IPA. It features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer. Best enjoyed in moderation.

Tap at Sac Brew. Pours a pretty orange/copper with a largish creamy beige head. Seems full bodied. Carbonation is quite creamy. Hop is strong and citric. A really smooth and pleasant brew with a deal of bitter. Bitter coats the mouth. In a creamy sort of way. Its very surprising and pleasant. Its very thick. No hop shortage in Paso Robles.

Bottle - Intense pine and grapefruit with some sweet malts in the background. Clear copper with a thick white head. Oily texture with a bit of alcohol burn at the end. Orange citrus and resin, nice malts to mellow and a silky smooth finish. Fruit begins to appear as it sits. Great IIPA.

On tap at Bistro DIPA Fest poured a clear gold with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, pine, earthiness and some light floral notes. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, light pine and light citrus with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Tap sample. Poured copper color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus west coast hop and fruit aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittersweet citrus flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer.

Scopey (14025) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2012
Bottle from Healthy Spirits, SF. It pours amber, with a thick white head. The nose is fresh pine, grass, spice and caramel sweetness. The taste is pine, resin, leather, floral, leaf, oily hop, grass, spice and a touch of citrus peel, with a long bitter-dry finish. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation and slightly oily mouth-feel. Very savoury indeed, I would have like some juicy citrus to balance it out. A really good DIPA nonetheless.
