Bottle as shown. Pours a clear orange with small off white bead and spotty lacing. The aroma is floral hops and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop and citrus. A good IIPA that hides the alcohol well making it very easy to drink. Scopey (16225) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2012
Bottle from Healthy Spirits, SF. It pours amber, with a thick white head. The nose is fresh pine, grass, spice and caramel sweetness. The taste is pine, resin, leather, floral, leaf, oily hop, grass, spice and a touch of citrus peel, with a long bitter-dry finish. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation and slightly oily mouth-feel. Very savoury indeed, I would have like some juicy citrus to balance it out. A really good DIPA nonetheless. Draught, 9.5%. Good grassy aroma. Hazy golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour starts off powerful, alcoholic and hoppy. Caramelly and sweet. A bit of hop burn. Caramelly and sweet finish. Late hop bitterness. Gets a bit rough after a while, but a good beer. bhensonb (15963) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 24, 2009
Tap at Sac Brew. Pours a pretty orange/copper with a largish creamy beige head. Seems full bodied. Carbonation is quite creamy. Hop is strong and citric. A really smooth and pleasant brew with a deal of bitter. Bitter coats the mouth. In a creamy sort of way. It’s very surprising and pleasant. It’s very thick. No hop shortage in Paso Robles.
