Bottle in Seattle. My 7k tasting with Andrew. Great smell right off of the cork. Small foam, rosy orange with light haze. Great, inviting, well developed yeast bouquet on the aroma. Fresh cut flowers and apricots. Bright body full of lime zest with clean fruity funk. This is in remarkably great shape, so vivacious and fresh. Lovely citrus zest, citric tartness, complete balance. Moderately sweet lingering. Gorgeous blending. Dumbfoundingly good. andrewje41 (4877) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - FEB 2, 2018
Corked bottle, batch 2, 2014 vintage. Thanks to Matt for the share. Quite a treat this one is, and an unexpected one. Reddish orange pour. Very tart strawberry nose. Flavor is equally tart, and the sourness lingers. Apricot front, mixed berry, some peach, and a balancing funk. A pleasant, smooth sour here, that has clearly aged well. A most excellent sour here. Well put together. Lovely blending here. Extremely impressed with this. Time to go searching for the other batches. Gotta break a tie here, I guess this beer is more beautiful than I originally thought. Blairgus (4635) - California, USA - JUL 10, 2017
10 July 2017, bottle. dirty yellow with faint pink hue. nose is awesome! moderately tart with apricot and perhaps guava or other tropical fruit. thin body and mildly fizzy. moderately tart with nice apricot and tropical fruit. really good. mathieuc (4001) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 15, 2017
Pours a clear golden with a foamy rim that leaves spotty lacing. Nose is of buttery oak, wine and grapes. Pretty fun. Taste is winey and moderately tart. Body is medium, carbonation moderate. Sourish oak finish. Vinous of course. Overall I thought it was good but it could certainly use more complexity as currently it is pretty much centered on the acid. czar (9971) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 9, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2017 bottle shared by tom10101, thanks brah. slightly hazy light copper-orange pour with a small off-white cap offering some retention and lacing. lots of grapes, apples, tasty strawberries as well, overly tender peaches, wine buttery barrels, underlying caramel, light acidity - citric and acetic peaks; some sweetness - golden grapes. moderate carbonation, light body, slightly unbalanced tart woodsy-spicy finish. almost feels like a grape/raisin tart ale. o-k. (miles behind batch one)
