COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Imperial Blonde Ale or Blonde Barley Wine; Helldorado has the lightest color of any of the beers in our barrel program but carries a great deal of interesting barrel character: vanilla, light char and amazing lavender-honey notes. Rich boozy honey liqueur character and loads of smooth sweet toasted malt to finish. The El Dorado hops dance in the background without playing a dominant role in the flavor profile. This beer gets better and better the longer it is in barrel.

Hopmaestro (1490) - rebro, SWEDEN - JAN 17, 2017
Aroma is totally amazing. Smooth and sweet bourbon notes, vanilla and light wooden notes. I could smell this all day. Taste doesnt really brings it in the same way as the aroma. Pale, light malts with a pretty high sweetness. Light honey notes and butterscotch. High alcohol in the end but also very nice barrel characters. This a double-edged beer for me, Im both a tiny bit disappointed but also totally astounded by the barrel taste thats flying around in here. Hard to grade

Clear copper pour with a medium-height off-white head and visible carbonation rising to the top. Notes of bourbon, caramel, unripe bananas, toffee, candi sugar, vanilla, lavender (I was a bit surprised to identify this), light herbal hops, barrel and a lot of malt sugar. Medium body, smooth, velvety texture, a bit of alcohol burn in the back of the throat. Not as overwhelming as their other barrel-aged beers, but for a barrel-aged blonde ale its quite impressive how smooth and well-balanced this beer is.

Not surprised to enjoy another Firestone Seasonal. Great palate for a barley wine.

Bottle: Coconut, vanilla and boozy aroma. Could smell it all night. Smooth sweet bourbon flavors with minimal hop flavors. Super tasty and could drink regularly. Aging a bottle and looking forward to see how it tastes in a few years.

Bottle bought through Systembolaget. Golden pour with a frothy offwhite head. Pale caramel, light roast cereal, vanilla, charred wood & bourbon nose. Light Japanese pear. Sweet & bitter taste. Round, viscous, full mouth. Tiny hot yet pleasantly balanced and easy to drink.
