375ml brown bottle split at RBAG 2017. Orangey red, no real head, just a thin film on top. Nose - fruity, sour, cherries. Taste - Cherries, tartness, lemon tang. Mellow bodied. Beautiful opaque orange creamsicle colour, slight white foam. Pungent grapefruity tropical hop aroma. Taste is juicy tropical fruity hop, lots of citrusy grapefruit, orange juice, barely bitter, lean pale malts. Average carbonation, medium bodied, more aggressively hopped. 375ml corked bottle. Tart cherry aroma with notes of pie crust, funk, oak and pie spice. Pours deep reddish-amber colored with half a finger of white head that has good retention and excellent lacing. Starts with tart cherry flavors with notes of pie crust as well as a bright lively mouthfeel. Finishes dry with cinnamon and other pie spices with Brett funkiness. Really wonderful sour beer. Aroma is cherries and a woody, smoky scent. Flavor is also very cherry heavy, an assertive tartness, but not much else. Good, but not as complex as I’d hoped.
