COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With an infusion of local roast coffee, a dash of cocoa nibs and touch of seasonal sorcery, our signature Velvet Merlin oatmeal stout has been transformed into Mocha Merlin for fall and winter enjoyment. This beer is brewed with the Colombia La Granadilla blend from our friends and neighbors at HoneyCo Coffee Roasters. The Colombia La Granadilla coffee meshes perfectly with the chocolaty character from the cocoa nibs, providing an oatmeal stout experience like no other. A touch of lactose "milk sugar" provides suggestion of rounded sweetness on the finish.

On tap at Blend Bar & Bistro in Hamilton, NJ. Barely translucent black brown color. Small creamy tan head. Big roasted malt nose is redolent of dark roasted coffee. Notes of cocoa, oats, dark fruit, sweet cream and toast. Complex and flavorful. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Chocolatey finish.

Draft. Black-brown beer with a tan head. Coffee and light roast aroma. Coffee and caramel flavor. Medium bodied. Coffee and light caramel linger with light fruitiness.

Pour is a almost near black with a large almost white head. Aroma is a decent amount of equal parts charred malt and coffee. Flavor is a real nice and super dry malt and coffee. I get a little sweetness from the lactose but it's nothing over the top and kind of takes the edge off the dryness. Very nicely balanced between the roasted malt and coffee.

Subtle coffee scenery in a pretty dark stout. Smooth light malty flavor in an overall string beer

Can from Maruho. Dark pour with cola highlights, plenty of light tan foam lasting and clinging the sides. Coffee and lactose aroma, a good dose of campfire ash and wood. Really ashy and dry in fact. Similar in flavour, like a good dose of roasty smoky morning coffee with a hint of cream and sugar. Quite dry and medium feel, lingering coffee bitterness, not a lot of oat smoothness, slight acridity. Very enjoyable, especially to a coffee lover.

12 oz can poured into a tulip glass, very dark brown pour with a khaki head with long lasting lacing. Taste is ice coffee with cream, dark semi-sweet chocolate, roasted malt, with a trace of oatmeal, dark fruit.  A really well-done stout. Will recommend to my friends!

Can. Poured black with a nice tan head. Body is a bit thin. Huge coffee nose that rolls over into the flavors. Easy drinker with lots of flavors.
