Tap @ World of Beer Fairfax - very dark red, nice tan pillowy head. Very very smooth, almost to the point of surprising the bitterness of the hops. Not getting coffee, though I am getting some dark chocolate. DiarmaidBHK (5113) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 16, 2017
Nitro at World of Beer Fairfax. Pours black with a half inch of thick khaki head. Has some lactose and solid roasted malt on the nose and tongue. Finished clean. Solid but not the most spectacular milk stout I’ve ever had. meccahh69lol (251) - New Haven, Connecticut, USA - MAR 29, 2017
Another fun one to order: "I WANT THE VELVET MERLIN" (as it was called at the bar weirdly). The palate is very pillowy and smooth, like drinking the end of a Wendy’s frosty. Pours dark brown/black with some nice vanilla and chocolate tones to it, without too much smokiness. Still, not the best nitro stout we’ve had recently (MILK CHOCOLATE). Would recommend for half off at happy hour with your booboo. gschrade (1094) - Collinsville, Illinois, USA - MAR 22, 2017
I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a tan head. Taste coffee, milk chocolate, roasted malt. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again.

Tap at The Brazen Head, Brooklyn. Dark brown color, firm creamy beige head. Very light aroma: hints of sweetness, coffee. Light-bodied, smooth palate. Light toasted but sweetish flavor, hints of vanilla. Pleasant but easy. Guinness on drugs. thorongil2 (3173) - , Ontario, CANADA - FEB 1, 2017
(Tap) clear, bright reddish amber colour with a tall, thick, buttery beige head; aroma of roast, hint of burnt rubber; watery but smooth palate; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - JAN 24, 2017
Foamy white from all that nitrogen, even though its a stout. The roast is so dark on the malt it tastes almost burnt. This just ruins it for me. Andrus86 (664) - Busselton, WA, AUSTRALIA - JAN 20, 2017
TAP. Pours that classic nitro, dark brown, ruby tinge, creamy beige head.. Soft aroma of biscuit malt & lactose.. Mellow malt body chocolate & lactose, sweet finish.. Sourced yardhouse Honolulu Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - JAN 20, 2017
On tap at Vermont Tap House.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipates at a nice pace.
The aroma starts off with a nice smooth Fench silky sweet to roasty milk chocolate goodness flowing over a balanced roasty smooth coffee bean. Ample amount of sweet to roasty vanilla bean.
The flavor blends for the most part between the roast and the sweet. Absolutely smooth sweet silky chocolate to roasty aftertaste flowing into the finish nicely.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great balance between sipping to sessionable sort of bitter coffee bean on my tongue.
Overall, as a milk/sweet stout this one shows exceptional balance and would be a stellar night cap. I would love to have again.
