COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our twist on the German Märzen bier, we give you a Paso Märzen. Traditional imported malts offer subtle honey-like aromas with hints of Noble hop spice. The stars of this brew are the imported Pilsner and Vienna malts that offer malty sweetness that carry through to the end. German Hallertau hops add rich Noble hop character to balance this exceptional Marzen. This beer is 100% stainless steel and gets the name Oaktoberfest as an ode to our hometown, Paso Robles, Spanish for "Pass of The Oaks". True to Oktoberfest custom, this beer makes its debut in time for fall to celebrate the age-old German tradition.

16 oz. can via trade. Pours a clear light copper with a finger of off-white head that settles into a thick uneven ring and patchy film. Sloppy lace on one side of the glass. Toasty and crackery Vienna and pils malts, straw, leaves, earth, mild spice, and wildflower honey. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a malty, earthy mouthfeel. Decent Oktoberfest but I expected another category killer from FW and this isn’t one.

12oz bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Decent enough Oktoberfest style brew if you are into that kind of thing which I apparently am not. It’s just OK.
