Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of Californiathe 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where were from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

Apricot aromas and a little pine. Pours golden and clear with a tight white head. Great lacing. Super balanced flavors of yeast, pine, apricot and hops. A gentle sour finish. Medium carbonation. I like it a lot.

0.355 l bottle from EDEKA Preller (Breckerfeld), bottled in May 2016. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity and a bit resiny aroma of mango, passion fruit, orange and some pine. Slightly sweetish, quite fruity, a bit grassy and slightly resiny taste of mango, passion fruit, orange jam, a touch of honey and some pine, followed by a short, medium bitter, grassy-dry and a bit resiny finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Classic, tasty APA with a very good balance and a pleasant mouthfeel.

Draft - pours a rich gold, frothy white head, looks nicely effervescent. Nose of fresh pine, bready malts, citrus zest.. Traces of funk. Looks and smells inviting! Creamy on the tongue initially, yields to a crisp, dry finish. Taste is bready, pine resin, rich flavors. The finish was good, nice hop bitterness but i wanted a touch more...very good though.

Nice citrus hop aroma thats not overwhelming. Malt flavor blends well with hop flavor. Kind of a more complex pale malt thing, simple but not absent. Bitterness is there, moderate. This is a really good pale ale. It feels thin but maybe I like that? Like it works for this? Crystal clear orange with a relatively quick fading head.
