COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

The foam is not very strong bit the taste of the beer is great. A light note of orange. Very fresh. Perfect for a warm summer day.

Deep gold, clear, thin white head. Aroma of grainy, biscuity malt with some caramel, light hop aroma of citrus/pine. Flavor is similar with a crisp grainy maltiness, a touch of caramel, and a hop flavor that is fairly grassy. Nice drinkable pale ale.

Pine and floral nose. Golden lager like pour. Malty start with a piney bitter finish. A good west coast pale ale and very drinkable!

Fabulous sweet light floral aroma. Very floral hop flavor. Very enjoyable if you like the style, which I enjoy. Pretty mellow carbonation and soft body. Nice lingering flavors. Solid, not the flavor profile I’m dieng to drink a lot though.

355ml bottle from Bier-deluxe.de

BBE 30.11.2013 - Pours clear golden with a smooth foamy head. Aroma of crisp grassy hops, hints of floral notes, fruits and grapefruit. Taste is smooth, slightly malty and caramely with notes of fruity hops and lemon. Finish is smooth and fruity with some hoppy notes. Quite nice, fruity and easy going pale ale, even though it’s probably way past its prime.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 11/15/2012. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a nice 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, floral, light grass, light pine, light honey, bread, and floral earthiness. Very nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of hop notes with a moderate malt balance. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, floral, grass, light pine, bread, light honey, and floral earthiness. Light floral pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, light pine, bread, and light honey after the finish for a bit. Very nice balance of hop flavors with a moderate malt balance; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is damn good session pale ale! Very nice balance of hop and malt flavors; and extremely smooth to drink. No complaints at all, really enjoyed this one.

Pours a nice golden color with a mild head. Nice mild hop with a smooth wheat aftertaste. Probably one of the best pale ales I have ever had.

Nose is fruity. Pours a clear golden with a mostly dissipating white head and stringy lacing. The taste is nice balance of fruity sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Light fruit and citrusy grapefruit. Medium-light body and crisp carbonation. Overall, very enjoyable with vegetarian fare. Would drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very light hop aroma, not much else. Have to look for it, but it is citrusy. Very very pale yellow, slight gold tinge. Crystal clear. Flavor starts out with the hop bitterness, then a blank area, then the dry bite of carbonation. I am sure it is better than a commercial lite beer but a well done commercial lite beer with a hop character is the best I get from this. I am sure this beer has it’s audience but it is not me.
