Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of Californiathe 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where were from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Bottled on 7/31/12. Shit, just noticed that. Pours hazy cantaloupe with a medium white lacy head. Nice citrusy nose; Im also getting SweeTarts and some age after it sits for a few minutes. Tastes a little past its prime. I really wish I would have noticed that born on date before my purchase. Its a little sweet and a little bitter. Other than the noticeable age, this tastes pretty clean. Highly carbonated and light-bodied. Let me re-rate a fresher version of this when I get a chance.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Definitely a quality beer but surprisingly doesnt hit my points as this one is way too dry and too bitter in the end. Aroma is pure hops but nit in a sweetish and fruity way. Therefore Id still say that this one is a good one but not huge. In any way.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Clear light golden in colour with fluffy head. Nose is absolutely delicious of spices and hops. Taste of pepper, thyme, rich hops, cloves and bay leaves. Very delicious one, little bit too dry in the palate.

Bottle. Slightly hazy copper color with a foamy white head. Aroma is fruity hops, mostly peach with some freshly cut grass. Nice amount of hops in taste. Fruity finish with some sweetness and bitterness. Not that complex but well made and refreshing.

This brew is a clear golden color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of hops and bready malt. Light, crisp body with flavors of floral hops, biscuit malt and a touch of fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. Decent lighter APA all around.

On tap at Teresa's next door. Poured into a pint glass. Pours a very pale light golden. A few fingers of head and a wee bit o lacing. Mild grassy aroma. Mouthfeel is light but way too carbonated. Taste is grass and bubblegum. A little dirt too. Overall, meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at craft ale house. Pours clear yellow with a medium sized white head. The aroma Is mostly pine and reminds me of a wet hopped ale. The taste is very crisp with some straw, grass, and a nice hoppy citrus finish.
