COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

Fabulous sweet light floral aroma. Very floral hop flavor. Very enjoyable if you like the style, which I enjoy. Pretty mellow carbonation and soft body. Nice lingering flavors. Solid, not the flavor profile I’m dieng to drink a lot though.

Lively, clear golden beer with a white bubbly head. Strong, floral citrus aroma. Flavour is surprisingly mellow. Lemony hop, somewhat dry, a bit of a resinous hint to it and this gives it a slightly tangy aftertaste which lingers for a fair while.

Pours gold, with a light citrus aroma that features lemon, orange, and grapefruit. Flavor is primarily citrus with a light, rounded body. What impresses me about this brew is its drinkability, which is superbly high. I couldn’t believe how much aroma and flavor was packed into such a light body. Great brew.

Bottled 15NOV12 Golden with a loose quilt of light cream foam. Smells of grapefruit, grass, light caramel malts, some sweet malts - a touch of lactose. Flavor is bready, bitter (lightly), hints of grapefruit pith, some pine and a touch of woody malts. Light body with low carb and a semi dry finish. Decent beer, nothing special.

SoLan (1550) - Florida, USA - JUN 22, 2007
Gold. Small white cap. Aroma of juicy, resinous hops and biscuity malt. A little less hops in the flavor. Medium/light body, balanced carbonation, too easy to drink.

rusty (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - AUG 5, 2008
Pours a nice golden color with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, malts and hops. Flavor is malt, hops and a little citrus. Better than most single IPA’s but nothing groundbreaking.

TedE (1544) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JAN 29, 2017
355ml bottle into shaker. Caramel malt nose with background fruity hops. Amber, thin head with a slight haze. Taste is clean and fruity. Light and zingy body. Finish is initially earthy hops then a little malt, eventually a lingering bitterness remains. Not bad.

A couple of bottles with dinner at Elote, Sedona, AZ. Big nose of pine, grapefruit, spice, fresh hops. Lighter bodied, solid bitterness, Really nice balance, superb drinkability. Crisp and crystal clean finish.

Lots of grassy citrus on the nose. Light yellow with plenty of effervescence. Taste of bitter fruit and a hint of Ritz Cracker malt. Light crispy body with a nice hop zing. Great light-side APA.
