COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18B). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown - Bottle on 22/11/2016). AROMA: predominant medium oxidized hop aroma with notes of dried grass. medium-low to low resiny notes as well a bit of tropical fruit (pineapple). medium-low malt notes with a caramel-like component. APPEARANCE: gold color and translucent. medium white head with medium retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with a medium-low hop note (piny and resin), as well oxidized hops (slight dried tea leaves). medium-low malty background (slightly sweet) with an almost neutral character. medium-high bitterness with a bitter and semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an American Pale Ale that starts to show some signs of oxidation.

Right from the bottle, has a nice light citrus aroma with some floral in there too. A great balance between a citrus flavor balance with a biscuity malt. It finishes off with citrus, floral and a bit of pine. A nice smooth easy drinking ale.

Clear gold color with an exquisite head of creamy sustainable white foam. Crisp floral and juciy lemon and orange flavors and aromas. A delicate and easygoing biscuit malt base. A real standard setter in the pale ale category.
