Pours gold, with a light citrus aroma that features lemon, orange, and grapefruit. Flavor is primarily citrus with a light, rounded body. What impresses me about this brew is its drinkability, which is superbly high. I couldn’t believe how much aroma and flavor was packed into such a light body. Great brew. Pours a nice golden amber with a medium creamy off white head that laced. Aroma was very floral, citrus, nice caramel malt touch. Flavor was floral and citrus, bready malt with a nice caramel balance. Moderate hop bitterness. greig (253) - Hamilton, NEW ZEALAND - APR 24, 2009
A good solid pale ale. Delicious citrus fresh hop aroma. Refreshing, and a good quaffer, though a little oily in the mouth. Initial impression is that it could use more carbonation, though sitting on the tongue it’s quite prickly. Strange. Anyway, I could drink a lot of these. Nice one Firestone Walker! bitbucket (2166) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - MAY 19, 2009
Bomber. Pours clear dark gold with a thin white head. Earthy, resinous dry hop aroma. Medium body, somewhat watery texture, moderate carbonation. Lightly sweet toffee taste. Earthy and somewhat floral hop finish. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 12, 2009
UPDATED: JUN 27, 2010 Pours a hazy light amber with a decent head. Citrus hops, honey, and cereal grains in the aroma - nice and mild, but intriguing. Malts are more prevalent in the flavor, with a nice, refreshing hop backbone. Nothing too fantastic, but it’s a nice, entirely satisfying pale.
Re-rate: Pale orange. Jane says it’s lovely. Packed with hops for a pale - it moves into malts, but up front, it’s all piney hops. Balances like a seesaw in motion - first one thing, then another.

Draught @ Pismo Beach. Average light beige head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Amber color. Aroma of grapefruit, pine like, citrus, fruit, mild caramel and light toasted malty notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter flavor with light sweetness. Lingering bitter dry finish. lello4ever (1252) - ITALY - DEC 16, 2017

Wygląd: Barwa blado złota z drobnopęcherzykową pianą złamanej bieli, początkowo lekko wychodzącą z butelki opada do kożucha pozostawiając lacing.
Aromat: Cytrusy w szczególności cytryna, zest cytryny, pomarańcz, mandarynka, min. słodki grejpfrut z owocami tropikalnymi (słodkimi) jak mango, brzoskwinia; multiwitamina. Delikatna słodowość chlebowa. Trochę żywicy, lasu i iglaków.
Smak: Cytrusy i owoce tropikalne podobnie jak w aromacie, lekko kwiatowe, trochę lasu i żywicy, niewielka ilość słodowej chlebowości i nuta karmelu.
Bottle on 22.11.16 Benters (144) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2017
Pours an ever so slightly hazy golden colour with minimal head retention after a minute or so. Aromas are big floral and citrus New World Hops, big piney hop hit. Taste has some fruitiness and caramel notes but is dominated by quite an assertive piney hop bitterness. A beer full of flavour but lacks a bit of balance from malt sweetness for my taste. biologynbeer (6) - - JAN 11, 2018 does not count
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2018 Purchased from costco. Bottled 12/07/17. Poured from bottle into pint glass.
Pours golden yellow with relatively thin head but persistent lacing.
Aroma - Lots of dank. Some pine and citrus.
Taste - Light malts, light bitterness that dissipates quickly, lemon citrus and yeast on the back end, bitterness returns for a balanced finished, refreshing and very drinkable
Texture - Very light and refreshing
Overall - Very drinkable pale ale with unbelievably dank aroma for the mild bitterness. This would be a good starter beer for someone who doesn’t love APA/IPAs. It would also be a great summer beer
