COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs.
An extension of Quercus Alba —the Firestone Walker Barrel aged program. Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels.

Vintage 2017. Piekny aromat czekolady, marcepana, wanilii, likieru, kakao. Wspaniala faktura. oleiste, gladkie, likier czekoladowy, nuty sherry, kakao, wanilia, akcenty beczkowe delikatne, w aromacie byly zdecydowanie silnijesze, alkohol w gardle mocno rozgrzewa i lekko piecze, jednak móglby byc lepiej ukryty.

Bottle from Brewtopia. Black with no head or lace. Boozy chocolate woody aroma. Very sweet boozy chocolate with some plum bittersweet coffee chocolate ashy finish. Almost no carbo slick oily. Mouthfeel ruins it. It’s almost still. Like drinking boozy dark chocolate syrup. What a waste of money. I’m gonna keep drinking it as long as I can and update my rating when I’m finished. .................................................. it was a pretty good sipper and I finished it, so it must be better than a 3.

Keg at The White Horse, Parson’s Green, London in July 2017 - Opaque jet black in colour. Good creamy tan head. Very Malty; roast malts, dark chocolate, bourbon, oak, vanilla, sugars, liquorice, coffee. Fruity; dark fruit, plums, raisins. Hoppy; balancing hop bitterness. Warming alcohol. Thick, smooth, rich. Great depth of flavour. Sweet-bitter roast malty with chocolate and bourbon. Lasting roast malty finish. Great stuff. Really enjoyed this. Terrific Impy Stout! (2017-07)

20/20 it’s lovely, massive flavour, chocolate, coffee, raisins, liquorice, slight alcohol burn but this is an equal to KBS.

Bottle share at Mon Petit, Stuttgart. 2017 edition. Rich aroma of dark chocolate, roast, sweetness. Balanced taste. A little too boozy, worth waiting longer.

375ml bottle shared with brother. Aroma: toffee, caramel, boozy bourbon even some whiskey aroma, really really subtle tobacco. App: black with monorail mocha frothy head leaving good lacing. Taste and palate: full body, creamy, velvety, light body and big alcohol finish. Overall: first time I’ve had Parabola, I’ve had a few Firestone including Parabajava and this one is definitely something I’d like to have more in my beer cellar. I really enjoy the alcohol finish. Love the mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Keg at White Horse on Parsons Green. Pours jet black with dirty tan head that dissipates time lacing. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, liquorice, marshmallow and molasses. Taste is a boozy hit of chocolate and liquorice that mellows out with a nice boozy sweetness with just a hint of burn. Really nice and drinkable.
