COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs.
An extension of Quercus Alba —the Firestone Walker Barrel aged program. Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels.

Great, dark malty beer, the ABV comes through a little which is okay considering how robust this beer is. The Walker does it again with another solid beer.

Flaska på PM. WOW vilka dofter av torkade frukter främst russin. . Smaken fantastiskt komplex med massor av smaker. Här finns choklad kaffe läder plommon o massa andra godsaker. Balanserad som tusan. Vilken härlig njutaröl!!!

A very solid beer. Bourbon barrel qualities - check, coffee and cocoa qualities - check. No flamboyance or boldness - check

UPDATED: APR 8, 2018 From tap. Super dark brown colour, almost black. No head, just a small ring of foam. Aroma of banana, toffee, caramel, syrup, roasted malts, oak, vanilla, tobacco and chocolate. Thick body. Sweet taste that matches the medium bitterness and the heat from the alcohol.

Lots of caramel and syrup. Very sweet, too sweet should have fermented dryer or been balanced with some more bitterness.

2015 vintage. Pours nearly dark mahogany with non-existent head. Aroma is bourbon, earthiness and slight cocoa. Taste is chocolate and plum, warming to smoke, wood and roast. Finish is smooth bourbon and char. An elite stout.

As soon as you crack open the bottle, sweet, beautiful notes burst out with dates, loads of oak, baker's cocoa powder, chocolate cereal, roasted malts, and just a drop of cough medicine to keep things interesting. The alcohol is present throughout. Can't help but smile every time I take a good whiff. Hefty, sticky mouthfeel, thick and imposing with nominal carbonation. The flavors make good on the aroma, with abundant sweet flavors and a hefty roasted-malt bill. Sip after sip of unadulterated happiness. I've had some bottles that don't live up to the best ones, or maybe it just depends on the time and the place, but when all things are aligned, it's as much as I can ask of a beer.

First BA stout I fell in love with. Pours thick and fudgy. Nice aroma of fudge, chocolate and bourbon. Taste is the same. Damn fine brew.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2018 Aroma is vanilla, dark chocolate and cookie crumbs. Taste is a very deep mix of chocolates, vanilla and caramel. Very deep and complex. Excellent.

I found one of these after looking for it for years. It was worth the wait. Just opening it and smelling the bourbon made it worth it. It's pricey, but an incredible beer.
