Cask at Archibald Simpson’s, Aberdeen. It pours red-amber, with a thick off-white head. The nose is instant coffee, roasted malt, dough and spice. The taste is wood, filter coffee, spice, caramel, roasted malt, astringency, metal and a touch of chocolate, with big dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A bit of a let-down. imdownthepub (14983) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 25, 2011
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Chestnut with full head. Smooth nutty, roasty malts leading to a slightly metallic, hoppy note. Earthy rather than American in character, more British I reckon. A pretty decent offering. BeerandBlues2 (13654) - Escondido, California, USA - DEC 7, 2011

"there’s a quick sweetness to it up front, but that quickly fades and is overpowered by the hops. I’d like it to last just a bit longer, but this is a pretty good beer anyway." Fin (10730) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 19, 2011

Cask Conditioned Handpump Figure Of Eight Birmingham. A chestnut coloured beer with a good tight white head. The aroma has jammy fruits, hops and toast. Good hops with berry fruits in the mouth. A long finish with more toast. Pretty decent. berkshirejohn (6588) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 29, 2011
Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Golden amber with a loose off-white head; aroma of American hops; rather thinly bodied, tasting of caramel malts and fresh hops with some resin; then some gentle peppery hops leading to a malty finish. Rather underwhelming. Beersiveknown (5301) - NORTHERN IRELAND - OCT 9, 2011
Centennial hops nose with initially syrup rubicon mango then an unpleasant acetic note, may have been on too long. Sweet malt finish.
