375 c&c from the Venice venue. Pours hazy copper/amber with a foamy beige head. Aromas of wood and pleasing Brett. Med body or so. Flavor is fruit - even grape, with Brett, oak astringency. Moderately sour. Might be a touch of oxidation. Cherry shows up after awhile for me. Very nice.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours copper with a thick beige head and a sourish fruit and oak aroma. There is a nicely sour dark malt flavor with a lot of fruit (cherry?). Very mellow and tasty.

Tap at Firestone Walker Barrelworks in Buellton. Listed at 9.6%. The nose makes you sit back and consider.... funk, dark fruit, dark sugar, thick raisins, and light alcohol fumes. D¥Reddish/brown color, with a fat creamy beige head and thick lace. Rich tangy dark fruit, wood, raisins. Lightly sweet and pushing the palate. Medium body, with very light astringency. This is a step up from the DBA base it’s made from. Sweet flavors and a modicum of funk.

joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - MAY 24, 2017
On tap in Buellton. It pours a clear dark amber color with a tall, foamy light khaki head. The aroma is nutty with some sherry, port, a little cocoa, jam and balsamic reduction. The flavor is jammy and pretty alcoholic with good notes of tart red berries and balsamic. Really interesting and tasty.

markducommun (1232) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2017
Clear reddish mahogany, no head. Raisins, light stonefruit. Strong caramel, honey. Lightly tart, quite sweet. Some bitterness. Long finish. Oily, syrupy heavy body. Quite a bit of alcohol. Good.

neongolden (2269) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 22, 2017
(Tap sample @ CBC 2016 Green Session, Copenhagen) Pours clear deep amber with a whitish head. Aroma of caramel, lightly toasted, vanilla, oak, Brett funk, tart grapes, sweet and sour at the same time. Flavour of caramel and some dried fruit, fairly heavy oak, Brett funk, sour grapes, leather, English yeast. Sweet, a little sour, a little bitter overall. Medium-full oily body. Interesting, pretty well balanced really, just doesn’t quite excite me.
