4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery.
Appearance: Pours a bright amber orange.
Aroma: Tangerine, perfume, funk.
Taste: Sweet cherry tartness, light toast, burnt sugar, fruity finish.
Mouthfeel. Thick with low carbonation.
Overall: I would hope this is what an infected batch of Double DBA would turn out to be. A lovely experiment either way.
On tap in Buellton. It pours a clear dark amber color with a tall, foamy light khaki head. The aroma is nutty with some sherry, port, a little cocoa, jam and balsamic reduction. The flavor is jammy and pretty alcoholic with good notes of tart red berries and balsamic. Really interesting and tasty. markducommun (1121) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2017

(Tap sample @ CBC 2016 Green Session, Copenhagen) Pours clear deep amber with a whitish head. Aroma of caramel, lightly toasted, vanilla, oak, Brett funk, tart grapes, sweet and sour at the same time. Flavour of caramel and some dried fruit, fairly heavy oak, Brett funk, sour grapes, leather, English yeast. Sweet, a little sour, a little bitter overall. Medium-full oily body. Interesting, pretty well balanced really, just doesn’t quite excite me. Korcz (3389) - Warsaw, POLAND - JAN 19, 2017
