(Draught) clear deep amber, viscous body. Nose of huge huge bourbon barrel, very rich and nutty, alcohol, sap, Brett is there but hard to find. Tap @ Barrelworks. Murky caramel pour with a ring of white foam. Aroma is huge bourbon with vanilla and coconut over denser sweet malt and raisin with a tart spike on the finish. Tap. Pours cloudy chestnut, tiny head, no lacing. Beautiful aroma with port, chocolate, bourbon, dried fruits. Flavor is the same, lovely, complex. Medium body, no carbonation, light warming. Perhaps a touch of funk as it warms, but really not obvious at all. My wife loved this one, and even snuck back in to the barrelworks to have another sample.

Draft at Angel’s Trumpet. Thanks to FW brewmaster Jeff for bringing this. A real treat! Smells like a bourbon soaked, fresh baked caramel, chocolate chip cookie. The brett shows up just a bit in the taste- sort of "bites" the tongue. More sweet, sticky bourbon, loads of vanilla, oak, tobacco. Insanely complex, yet very smooth. Great, great brew. Murky dark amber pour with an off-white head. Really an interesting nose. Dominated by the bourbon, vanilla, and wood aromas. Tons of dark fruit such as dates, raisins, and plums. Maple syrup, brown sugar, and alcohol. The flavor is a little on the hot side, but excellent otherwise. Great bourbon, vanilla, maple, caramel, and brown sugar. On tap at Barrel Works (many pours of this beer). Pours with a hazy deep brown hued body with amber highlights and a small tan head. Aromas are huge and epic. Nutty, peanut butter, massive bourbon, toasted oak, richly layered caramel, nutty, vanillin, toasted, mild spice, light funk. Insanely complex! Flavors are deep and rich, nutty fudge, mellow alcohol, light funk, majhool dates, rich chocolate, deep and layered bourbon. Well hidden alcohol, maple. Insanely complex. Medium carbonation, good tannin balance for the body, somewhat warming. Pretty incredible, one of the best beers I’ve had in the last couple of years! Wow. This little 2 oz pour is pretty unassuming. Nose is bourbon and a little funky. Fairly clear brown pour with a very slight white head. Taste... Wow - sweet, a touch tart and slightly funky followed by an intense bourbon explosion - amazingly everything plays well together, but I suppose that's what 5 years in a barrel can accomplish! Fantastic.
