COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first foray into the funky world of lambic style beers. These traditional Belgian style ales are exposed to both wild yeast and bacteria, as well as the addition of fruit, during the secondary fermentation. Ours began back in 2010, with the blend of two wheat ales and inoculated with Brettanomyces Lambicus, Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and lactobacillus. We then added ollalieberriesno, thats not a typoand waited patiently for two years! The result is amazing: a distinctively, dry, cidery, fruity, vinuous and oh-so sour beer. Bracing and refreshing.

Bottle (375 ml) shared at tasting. Clear bright red with a medium pink head leaving good lacing. Aroma is amazing with loads of fruits, blackberries, dusty and mushrooms notes, buttery oak, lemon, lactic notes, raspberries and herbal notes. Taste is not really sweet apart from fruit sweetness impression, moderately acidic and quite oaky. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oaky and vinous mouthfeel. Lactic finish. Wow, that one is really impression. Lambic like with great oak features.

Poured a reddish amber color with aroams of wet wood, berries, sourness and some light vinegar. Flavors are the same nice sour fruit, and lit wet wood, with some funk, these guys do it again, always making me want more when I finish the bottle.

[email protected] Red colour with a small pinkish head. Aroma is red berries, some funk, wood and quite sour with some grapes as well. Flavour is rather similar, but also has some mild white wine/vinegary notes to it. Suits the sourness of the beer really well. Fresh and funky.

Draught @ CBC2015. Pours hazy red with a frothy pinkish white head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissiapting. Smell is fruity and slightly funky with crackers, lemon juice, tart red berries, yoghurt, hay, dry soil, minerals, barnyard and lemon zest. Taste is very sour, fruity and funky. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, mouthpuckering and light to medium bodied. Finish is sour with crackers, lemon juice, lime juice, currants, cranberries, blackthorn, yoghurt, hay, dry soil, barnyard and lemon zest. Tasty but too sour and a bit lacking in finesse.

Pours a bright purple red on tap with fluffy pink white head that leaves good lace. Aroma of big fruity sweetness that gets overpowered quickly with funky barnyard and lactic sour notes. Taste is even more of the funky fruitiness, amazing balance and flavor. This is pretty much the best American version Ive had in quite a while, comparable to wicked weed, allagash, and cantillon.
