The oaky vanilla is unstoppable in this monster. It is underscored by a hefty caramel weigtht from the malt, which offers a touch of burnished roast as well. The much needed bitterness just manages to control everything and bring it back to drinkability. A bit of fun, but not a session beer.

TAP. Dark golden colour with minimal white head.. Very soft bland nose, caramel/syrup malt?.. Malt dominates with Biscuit caramel & syrup sweetness, then ease off with the barrel coming in at backend.. Sourced yardhouse Honolulu

Draft. Poured a lightly hazed orange, nice head. Aroma of lightly caramel accented malts (more so than would think from the color), and some woodsy hops. Flavor is a match, with the utterly velvety mouthfeel you expect from Firestone. Really nice.

Draught at the taproom in Paso Robles, California. Slightly hazy copper beer with a nice offwhite head. Malty fruity aroma, caramel, grapes, biscuit notes. Malty fruity flavor, caramel, grapes, some biscuits. Flawless.

Tap at Jack Brown’s Richmond. Hazy caramel with pillowy head and light lacing. Smells like bubble gum. More bitterness than expected in the flavor. But has a perfumy finish.

vyvvy (6574) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 22, 2016
The beer pours amber with some cloudiness and a beige head. The aroma had toffee, oak, caramel, bread and earthy British yeast. It has a medium rich body with fairly soft carbonation. The taste has dry caramel, toffee, spice, grainy oak and light vanilla. Pretty tasty.

On tap. Classic English Bitter profile -- caramel malt, a little breadiness, and a medium body. Quite sweet, a little bready, and just right for the syle.

Draft at the Firestone Walker Taproom in Marina del Rey, CA. Pours mostly clear gold with a foamy, white head. Nice bready character, lightly bitter with some leaves, toasted grains and caramel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Smooth on the finish with further bready malts and toffee accents. Very enjoyable. Well rounded.
