UPDATED: OCT 26, 2015 Bottled on 11/16/12 (damn, Im tempted to give an extra tenth every time a brewery does this). Nose contains massive green hop aroma, fresh and exciting but also a little homebrew(e)y, and though the spiciness manages to peak through the mist, the malts are all but hidden. For some Id imagine this is ideal, but its just not my thing. Clear golden-orange body with a lightly foamy head. Lightly bitter taste (picks up slightly toward the end), not very sweet but no malt backbone either, the hops just have nothing to build on. More yeasty than doughy or malty, clean, light-medium body. This isnt far off from what Id imagine an extremely mild hopshot to taste like, and its hard not to feel a little disappointed. [2013.01.28: 2.9]

Bottled 08/27/15, so about two months old, about the same age as the last bottle. Pours much more distinctly orange, even getting into coppery-brown, with a frothy but short bright white head. This nose is much better, heavy resin with classic grapefruit, oily and juicy but not pushing floral. Also missing some of the dank I remember from much fresher batches. Tastewise, firm bitterness with great resin character, rough without scratch, again very juicy of grapefruit and orange and tangerine with peels, malt is plain and very weak. Touch of spice, some wood. Full and very clean body, touch rubbery-astringent in the long aftertaste. Id like another shot at a super-fresh bottle! [2015.10.26: 3.3]

Pours a clear golden color with medium white head. Aroma is strong citrus, pine, resin and earth. Taste follows the nose, lots of citrus fruits, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, resin and pine. Strong bitter ending to it.

[email protected] Pours almost clear golden with lazing offwhite head. Aroma has light malt, light bread, biscuit and hops with grass, hay, resin and pine. Taste is light malty with some sweetness, biscuit and hints of caramel and hoppy with grass, citrus, pine and resin. Finish is hoppy, dry and bitter. Good am. IPA.

Uses every bit of those 4 pounds of hops per barrel. Creamy sustainable head of clean whipped white foam. Gold color in the glass with an orange hue. Clean, lightly sweet caramel base lends to mild Valencia oranges, ruby grapefruit, and pine dry hops.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2016 Pours golden with a foamy white head that dissipates quickly and all but disappears. First taste is astringent, citrusy and hoppy. Alcohol content is not present at first, but once it warms a little you can taste it. There are tastes of pine, oily and resiny, not a lot of malt. Will buy again.

Aroma:
Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, orange, pine, bread, hops and citrus.

Appearance:
Turbid golden/amber beer with a slight/medium off-white head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, orange and pine; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread, hops and citrus.

Overall:
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Had a 1.5 years old bottle. Loads of creamy and sweet malts are dominant in this beer. Only a slight trace of hops left, but they do their job perfectly.

Can, cant remember where from. Coppery amber colour. Quite a full bodied IPA, very west coast with pine and citrus, quite bitter, medium finish. Pretty solid stuff - I always get confused by these guys with their British names for stuff that have nothing to do with the UK...

Impressive head and creaminess even from a can. Bright and inviting citrus grassy hops. Very lively entry with sustained citrus hop oils throughout. Tender toffee citrusy malt body, balanced bitterness. Very well crafted.
