3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle . A nice orange amber body with a slightly off-white head that had good retention and nice lace. Aroma had a strong pine hop profile which was complemented by nice citrus notes. Good caramel malt base. Flavor had a good hop presence. Mostly resinous with some grapefruit and even floral notes. Caramel malts were merely a balancing act to sweeten the beer. It was just enough to take a little away from the hops with the hops losing its assertiveness. Dry in the finish. Good!

355ml bottle shared with mjs at Bar Molotow. Clear amber coloured body. Patchy white head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass. Delicate floral hops and pine on the nose. Well blended flavour profile of pine, orange, and juicy malts with bitter citrus peels to the ending. Well bodied. Good drinking. (Bottle, 0.355 l - BB 25/01/18, at Bar Molotow, 20171130) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, grass, sweetness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A pleasant balanced hoppy pale ale. zaclogan (19) - - NOV 30, 2017
Light amber in color with big white head. Aroma is of tropical fruits, caramel, malt, citrus, spicy and piney hops. Slightly sweet and lightly sour taste with bitter hoppy finish and aftertaste. Medium body and average carbonation. Very Good IPA. Rask0lnikov (1513) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 24, 2017
330ml bottle. Pours amber colour with moderate white head. Sweet, apricoty, bit citrussy, raisiny aroma. Apricots, swetness, citrussy notes in the taste. Apricoty, bit raisiny, sweet, but slightly citrussy aftertaste. Rather light bodied, bit sweet, classical, bit boring IPA. Well drinkable though.

Yet another delicious California IPA, loads of grapefruit and pine on top of a firm caramel-n-biscuit malt base. Slips in some orange marmalade and peach alongside the opening hop salvo, while the middle grows dry and grainy with a rising bitterness. Finishes hoppy as hell with hints of yeast and pepper. Pours a beautiful orange-gold with a massive white head and generous lacing. Grapefruit and biscuit on the nose. Perfect slick, oily IPA texture with just enough sparkle. Damn good pint. rob19a (487) - - NOV 12, 2017

Another brew purchased at South Bay D&L. Thanks Joey!
This pours a clear gold with a 2 finger head of foam and plenty of lacing. Good head retention.
The smell is big notes of grapefruit and not much more but I like it.
The taste is very hoppy with a big bold grapefruit profile but I can taste a bit of malt in the background and it *does* take some of the edge off the bitterness. Nice medium body and carbonation, it finishes with a citric bitterness that lasts through the aftertaste. It's quite easy drinking, though I have to watch it because it isn't exactly a lightweight when it comes to the abv. This is a very nice IPA!
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2017 Draft many times but for some reason never rated. Clear deep gold pour with a slim foamy ring. Complex mix of hops balanced with enough malts to bring fullness. Bittersweet orange peels. Recalled liking this better in the past. Did the formula change? The Double Jack is many times better.
