A decadent Oatmeal Stout brimming with cocoa and espresso aromas. This beer features a rich, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavor with a creamy mouth feel and wonderfully dry finish. The addition of U.S. grown fuggles hops contributes the perfect amount of bitterness to this exceptionally balanced beer.

From a 12 oz bottle purchased at Whole Foods Devon PA. No date. Drank from a mini snifter. Pours a semi clear dark brown. No head and no lacing. Very little aroma. What's there smells of Moxie.... And that's the way this review is going. Mouthfeel would be light for a porter, let alone an oatmeal stout. Pretty dry and watery too. Taste is of water, coffee, cola, dirt, styrofoam and something else I can't put my finger on but that doesn't belong in this beer. Wow was this poor. It was everything the description didn't say it'd be. PASS! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Maris. Pours black with some red around the edges. There is a small tan head that hangs around for awhile. The aroma has a good bit of coffee, some chocolate. The taste is sweet chocolate that flows into a mocha flavor.. and is finished with a nice hop bite. This is delicious and I cant believe it has this much flavor at 5.5%.

A decent stout with no exemplary features. Good rostiness on the malt though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Black pour with a fleeting tan head. Smells faintly of espresso. Taste is creamy chocolate, nutty malt, and a bit of coffee. Also tastes a bit flat; finish is dry and abrupt.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2013 It is like... rich dark chocholate with hint of milk. A boozy bitter-sweet warmth not unlike amaretto. A full and balanced beer with a rather semi-sweet finish. Color is between velvet and coffee. The head is fleeting yet creamy and lacing.

12 oz bottle pours black with a decent tan head. Aroma has lots of espresso/coffee and roasted malts with a bit of chocolate. Body is medium with some carbonation. Mouthfeel is creamy. Taste is slightly sweet with a bitter finish. A very good, easily drinkable stout but not one of the great ones.

Poured a dark brown with a quickly vanishing head. Taste of coffee, quick hit of smoked malt and bitterness but very hollow mouthfeel which ends with carbonation instead of taste.

Bottle from trade with skycracksopen, thanks! Almost black with a light brown head. Aroma: roasted and creamy, oatmeal cookies, chocolate. Taste: chocolate coated oatmeal cookies, soft roast, light licorice, quite sweet, some raisins, some syrup. Medium bodied, smooth. Very nice stout.

Tons of over roasted espresso on the nose, dry cacao powder, burned oak logs, oats and granola. mouthfeel is medium bodied, less creamy and full then i expected for an oatmeal beer. pretty solid all around but not outstanding or best in class.
