COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A decadent Oatmeal Stout brimming with cocoa and espresso aromas. This beer features a rich, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavor with a creamy mouth feel and wonderfully dry finish. The addition of U.S. grown fuggles hops contributes the perfect amount of bitterness to this exceptionally balanced beer.

12 oz bottle. As good as any Oatmeal Stout out there. Chocolate, espresso, and a roasty, nutty flavor dominate. Smooth, creamy texture. Highly drinkable.

Smells of coffee and chocolate, white thin head, light taste with good flavor, but thin texture and body. Easy to drink.

Coffee and dark, bitter chocolate. Very drinkable, light body. Good lacing, my kind of stout-highly attenuated.

poisoneddwarf (2511) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - APR 15, 2012
12 oz bottle. Aroma is nice and sweet: toasted marshmallows and chocolate. Pours opaque black with a medium collapsing tan head. Taste is sugary sweet (not cloying) and finishes bitter. Carbonation is average and the mouthfeel is, well, velvety. Delicious.

Pours an opaque black with a tan head that quickly fades into nice lacing. The smell is magnificently full of espresso notes and a touch of chocolate. The taste doesn’t quite equal the smell but is still very good! It’s pretty well balanced with bitterness hitting up front and leaving a nice velvety chocolate feel at the end. A very good stout but not quite the same as the bourbon aged merlin on draft.

Pint at Horse Brass. Deep brown. Airy cap that reduces. Great lacing on the glass. Coffee chocolate nose. Taste is same. Light spices. Dry finish.

12 ounce bottle purchased a year ago at Total Wine in Las Vegas ($1.79). Pours a dark brown color with dark ruby highlights and two fingers of tan foam. Aroma of milk chocolate, coffee with vanilla creamer, and toasty-roasty and nutty malts. Flavor of creamy milk chocolate, roasted nuts, mild coffee, vanilla, some oatmeal, and a hint of ashy malts. A subdued sweetness really adds to the taste. Medium bodied with a nice smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A bit simple but works so well. (345, 682)

Terminus (3683) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 1, 2012
Tap at 1702 Tucson, AZ-pours deep brown almost black with a small tan head. nose is very char forward-char and not much else-maybe a little husky roast and chocolate, but very faint. flavors are similar but has a salty ote that is kind of odd. kind of different-lite body but that could make this a very session-able stout. lots of flavors for a beer of this body. decent but not great-must revisit again!
