Tap @ OBriens. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Nestle Quik cocoa, malted milk balls, leather, vanilla, and roasted coffee in the nose. More malted chocolate and oatmeal in the taste, with a strong cherry pop towards the finish. The cherry sweetness came out of nowhere, was out of character for the beer, but kind of nice. Almost like a German chocolate cake taste. Good beer.

on tap at stone bistro a couple months back. pours a very dark brown, damn near black, with a thick, creamy, beige head leaving long sheets of lace. aroma is great with fresh roasted coffee, dusty rolled oats, chocolate chip cookies, and dark malts with hints of caramel, wood, and a touch bourbon. flavor is wonderful as well with huge roasted malts, wood, oatmeal, and cocoa powder with subtle bourbon, dark chocolate, and vanilla notes as it warms. palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied with smooth carbonation and a long, bitter, woody finish. overall, a great low abv stout.

On tap. Dark black with a tan creamy head. Great lacing. Attack was a bit thin and underwhelming, but the finish was off the hook, long bold, filled with coffee and roast notes, very smooth. Yumm!

Bottle to glass. Pours a deep brown to black color with a tan head. Aroma is slight burnt roasted malts, light burnt cocoa. Flavor is mildly sweet, burnt roasted malts and coffee bitterness. Medium body with a lingering burnt bitterness. Solid beer.

Pours dark and black with a small tan head. Nose is big chocolate, roasted almonds, coffee and grass. Taste is sweet and bitter. Well balanced. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean, body is light medium and the finish is long. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark black pour, little bit of tan white head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Taste - medium roasted malt profile, coffee, nice bit of bitterness, all perfectly balanced. Excellent!

Black mud/cola with tan head. Aroma is light burnt grain. Body is creamy carbonation on moderately silky smooth feel. Flavor is light dark chocolate, moderate burnt toast (yum), some graininess and bitterness.. The burnt flavor is a step up from the usual and make the beer somewhat exceptional. Another fine offering from FW!

Great coffee stout, rich heavy body, carries well into the finish, smooth and creamy, almost like coffee cold brew, slightly alcohol tasty notes.

Colour:...dark. Nose: Burnt crisp malt, honey infusion - could be the bourbon influence, driftwood, jerk spice. Taste: Cherry cough syrup, burnt wood, late bitter-tart with all spice. Great stuff. A mixed-bag aroma that actually works!

Bottle served in an English pint. Pours stout dark brown with a medium-short tan head and almost no lacing. Roasty aromas of tobacco, coffee, oatmeal, and mild smoke. Smooth delivery of a rich, mildly bitter-sweet flavor. Medium body, creamy slick texture, and a long, soft, roasty-bitter finish. I dont get any oak from the bourbon barrels so Im thinking the ratio is minimal. In any case, this is a good brew.
