Pours an opaque black with a finger of light tan head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee with cream and some chocolate. Taste of strong brewed coffee, cocoa, some lactose, oatmeal, caramel, roastiness and some mild burnt notes. Semi creamy mouthfeel, medium body with medium carbonation. Good stout with well blended flavors.

At my place by myself on a lazy Sunday. Pours black with medium cream head that drops to a small circle. Aroma is oats, milky, dark chocolate-esque maltiness, smooth and steller malt notes. Taste is chocolate malt, dark chocolate, oats, some water. A very very slight tang which works with the beer. Mouthfeel is light and fluffy. Finish is medium length and pretty clean.

October 2013 bottle to a tulip glass. Pours a dark brown/black with a small tan head and oily lacing. Aroma is brewed coffee, chocolate chip cookie dough, and slightly roasty and musty. Taste is roasted coffee with a little cocoa and some bitterness at the end. A rich, balanced taste that isn't complicated. A medium, smooth mouthfeel with a medium dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a black color with a soft tan head. Taste is full with chocolate and coffee notes. I really don’t get bourbon though. Finishes clean without an after taste.
