3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle to a pint glass. Pours a dark brown with a thin beige head and ok lacing. Aroma is nutty with pepper, and hints of chocolate smoke, and caramel. Taste is smokey up front. There is roasted malts, semi-sweet chocolate, and coffee flavors as well. There is a very mild hop bitterness towards the end. Mouthfeel is thin. Overall ok, but unimpressive considering every other Firestone Walker beer I have had.
Bottle share Monday. Like cocoa and chocolate withba hint of nuttiness. Tatse follows with a hint of oxidation. Decent. Tide (4565) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 20, 2017

Brown color with a hint of umber when held to the light. Moderate sized tan head with some decent lace. Toasted to roasted malt, light earth and dark chocolate. Slight dark caramel sweetness. Dark chocolate, light roasted malt and light herbal hops in the flavors. Fairly light in feel. Finish has some tar and ashes. Pretty much what a porter should be. 3/11

Dark dark brown thin tan head. Toffee is the main standout. Brown malts add and some coffee bitterness finishes to nice crisp porter.

Dark pour. Small tan head. Little lacing. Bourbony chocolate aroma. Taste is malty roasty goodness. Highly carbonated. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 4, 2014
In short: A nourishing small porter. Tasty but a little too sweet to be sessionned.weihenweizen (4206) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - OCT 21, 2014
How: Bottle 22oz, a few times, generally fresh.
The look: Mostly clear dark mahogany body topped by a persistent small tan head.
In long: Nose is roasted cereals with a dessert-ish sweetness and almost nothing in the way of esters and fruity notes. Body is medium in size and well carbonated. Taste doesn’t surprise nor disappoint. Roasted cereals, black liquorice, dark caramel, cacao beans. Low in the hops department. A little too much sweetness sensation for such a low abv beer but nothing that really prevents drinkability. Overall, a nice but unexceptional almost-sessionnable porter/stout. Yet another rating for me, and I’m very good at writing superb beer ratings, I write beer ratings I can be very proud of until I get close to the end and then I ruin everything for no apparent reason double-penetration.
Refrigerated brown bomber from blutt59, March 27, 2013, poured into a snifter. Black with dark brown highlights and medium/small beige head.
