375 ml bottle into tulip glass; batch No. 001, bottled on 8/6/2015. Pours fairly crystal clear pinkish golden/orange color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with poor retention, that reduces to nothing pretty quickly. No lacing on the glass, and some light streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, green apple, red grape, white wine, fruit skin, vanilla, oak, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, and grass; with lighter notes of leather, musty funk, pepper, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, red grapes, oak barrel, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, green apple, red grape, white wine, fruit skin, vanilla, oak, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, and grass; with lighter notes of leather, musty funk, pepper, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness and light yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, green apple, red grape, white wine, fruit skin, vanilla, oak, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, light funk/vinegar/pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, red grapes, oak barrel, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness balance, and minimal puckering flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from tart/sourness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/acidic, fairly crisp, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.4%. Overall this is an excellent fruited sour/wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, red grapes, oak barrel, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the balanced sour/lactic finish. Great well rounded Brett/Lacto complexity; nice grape and oak barrel presence; with a solid malt backbone. A very enjoyable offering. dnstone (3482) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - JUN 8, 2017
Pours clear golden with a pinkish hue and white head. Funky white wine wood aroma. Moderately tart, with a dry white wine and wood character.

From notes. Enjoyed this one over at Chris’s house on March 26 for a beer and smoked meats get together. 375 mL bottle. The pour is a pink-tinted amber/orange color with a thin ring of off white head that does disappear without a trace after a few moments. The aromas are very good. There is a nice cherry skin, a hefty dose of grapey wine, and a decent funkiness. There is a little barnyard in there for good measure as well. I like the sharp tartness of the lighter fruits. Really good. The flavor is a little more winey. There is a tartness up front, and then it gets sweet, and the wine backs that up a bit. The flavors definitely aren’t as light and crisp here. The mouth feel is a little heavier, and there is a lot of carbonation. It’s bright and spritzy. The aftertaste is tart and nice with a hint of dry Riesling or something happening at the end. Not a bad start to the day, for sure. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - JAN 22, 2016
Bottle. Huge thanks to dogday. Aroma is insanely good. Cherry skin, vinegar, white wine, light funk, light barnyard. I’m really not describing it well enough. Tastes the same. Perfectly balanced. Moderately sour. More funk than the aroma suggests. Love the quick spritzy carbonation too. One of the best sours I’ve had.

Lightly cloudy orangey-amber, white head that dissipated immediately. Quite tart, bright cherry and berry. Some light tobacco and leather. Sour, slight bit of sweetness. Medium body, decently oily. A lot of carbonation. Exceptionally long finish. Excellent. k0mpsa (3040) - Tuusula, FINLAND - DEC 26, 2015

hybrid beer/wine (guessing they ferment the zin grape skins too?)...tart and vinous, yet still light, refreshing and fruity. I’d love to have again...
