Light unclear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light chocolaate - coffee, maybe rye, wood, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 
From bottle, blind #16. Pours dakr brown with a small tan head. Pinewood and grapefruity hops aroma. Mild roasted malt, vanilla and vague hoppy base flavour. Subdued sweetness. Bottled. A pitch black beer with a lazing brown beer. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and some wood, leading to a dry and lightly bitter finish. Nice. The 0-65 tasting. Four guys, fourteen beers, average abv 12.9%, 65 mins! Clear dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Light airy palate, a little soft. Creamy malt, a little chocolate. Mild minerals. Semi dry finish. A smooth porter but I wanted more, especially from FW.

Very dark brown. Restrained grapefruit aroma. Flowery and reasonably dry with medium- to light body and a licorice finish. Flavourful, yet very drinkable. A top notch porter!
