[7563-20150816] Tap. Roasty grainy wood aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting foamy tan head. Roasted wheaty grains flavour. Medium-full body. Interesting. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

2015-08-16. Black body with a nice foamy tan head. 3++ Aroma is fairly toasty and roasty, lightly dusty. Flavour is similar, toasty roast, weizen character mostly comes through as an interesting undertone. Average plus bodied palate, good carbonation. Itís decent but itís sort of a weird combo of Schwartz and weizen. On tap at Niagara College as Growler Club Schwarzweizen.

On tap at Cíest What Summer Festival of Craft Breweries. Pours a dark brown with creamy, lacy tan head. Aroma is quite roasty banana, other fruit and spice. Flavour is also very roasty with banana and some darker fruit as well as modest clove-ish spiciness. Lingering roasty finish. Rather nice.

Cask at Cíest What Summer Festival of Beer. Deep black pour. The aroma is very spicy. Licorice and clove with a bit of heavily roasted malt. Sticky palate with a fairly oily character. Some light sourness as well - this just doesnít really work that well for me.
