Cask at C’est What Summer Festival of Beer. Deep black pour. The aroma is very spicy. Licorice and clove with a bit of heavily roasted malt. Sticky palate with a fairly oily character. Some light sourness as well - this just doesn’t really work that well for me.

[7563-20150816] Tap. Roasty grainy wood aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting foamy tan head. Roasted wheaty grains flavour. Medium-full body. Interesting. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

2015-08-16. Black body with a nice foamy tan head. 3++ Aroma is fairly toasty and roasty, lightly dusty. Flavour is similar, toasty roast, weizen character mostly comes through as an interesting undertone. Average plus bodied palate, good carbonation. It’s decent but it’s sort of a weird combo of Schwartz and weizen. On tap at Niagara College as Growler Club Schwarzweizen.

On tap at C’est What Summer Festival of Craft Breweries. Pours a dark brown with creamy, lacy tan head. Aroma is quite roasty banana, other fruit and spice. Flavour is also very roasty with banana and some darker fruit as well as modest clove-ish spiciness. Lingering roasty finish. Rather nice.

Aroma medium intense. Wheat with smoke , some tartness. Roast with raw sweet backing.
Appearance
Top: tanned medium creamy head.
Base: hazy brown.
Palate : soft easy going with light carbonation. Medium bodied with average finish.
Taste: slightly tart sweet malts with notes of plum.
Other notes: Interesting. Fruit (fig) , wheat softness with darker feel.
