Clear brown gold with white head. I have smelled something like this bt can’t place it. Maybe old apples not quite to the point of smelling bad. The taste is nothing to write home about.little malty little sweet. The aftertaste is syrupy sweet.

Draught in Besançon. Amber with a thin head. Aroma of caramel malt. Flavour is similar with a little spice. gripweed57 (2967) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - APR 26, 2017
From old tasting notes. Labeled as "The Amber by Fischer d’Alsace Malt Liquor". Lovely amber gold color with lots of tiny bubbles and a creamy white head. Tart toasted malt nose. Rich toasted malt flavor has a complex bittersweet backdrop and zesty flavorful character. Hearty smoky malt finish and aftertaste. Strong alcohol content. alrick (149) - FRANCE - FEB 2, 2017
Un peu trop légère, une impression dénaturée de manque de saveur. Manque de caractère

Drought. Nice color, great caramel and gingerbread aroma. Sweet, very very sweet... TOO Much Sweet. It was a pain to finish, really awfully too sweet. mile (4067) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2016
Bottle (6,3%). Light amber, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty and caramel sweetish aroma, faint hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and sugary sweetish flavor, caramel. Finish is short to average, malty and caramel sweetish, faint hoppyness and alcohol. Caramel sweetish brew from Heineken for those with sweet tooth. No good - went down the drain. BeerRenter76 (1054) - Texas, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Originally rated on 6/16/08. My 1st french beer wasnt half bad. It pours a nice looking amber hued body with a mid sized head, carbonation and lacing were good. the flavor is sweet and a little malty but had a tinge of metallic taste.Decent finish and aftertaste. overall a slightly above average beer.
