600ml bottle Aroma: caramel, alcool, hints of citrus and spruce (?) Appearance: cloudy golden robe, minimal white neck. Taste: sweet and a bit sour. Palate: medium body, sneaky push! average carbonation, astringent long finish. Overall: Disappointing but not that bad. Would definitely drink instead of water, but will not buy anytime soon.

W zapachu lekki chmiel i jakby jakies korzenie. Piana leciwa, ale jest, lepi szkło. W smaku wodniste, delikatna goryczka. Butelka największym plusem.

Clear golden yellow, small white head. Aroma of malt, the taste is a bit sweet, light bitterness. Short bitter finish.

Bottle 65cl. Pours clear gold with small frothy white head. Low retention. The nose is sweet grains, fruit, spicy yeast. Medium body. Lively carbo. Light to mefium sweetness and yeasty spiciness form the whole taste including the ending. Low bitterness. They say it is a Biere de garde. I would believe that. Not bad but way too expansive

Piepenhenrich (1171) - Steinbach, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2017
A reasonable Lager, comparably strong, but not overly outstanding with regard to taste. It is not bad, though, expecially when compared to other French Lagers, but from global perspective it is rather mediocre.

Aż żal coś takiego butelkować tak ładnie. Kwaśny, wątroby, nieprzyjemny lager.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2017 Initial mouthfeel is good with dryness from the hops, but fades quickly and secondary taste is watery and flat. Dryness does linger though. Reminds me a bit of Black Label from South Africa, but without the body

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2017 Bottle from the Carrefour in Paris. Nothing special but pretty drinkable - malt forward with some plum notes and grassy aftertaste.
