Tap at a Restaurant in Tübingen. Pours golden yellow. Nose is bread and bitterness. Taste is Butter and bread. Finish is bitter. Ok.

(33cl can from Greek minimarket; BBD: 11/2016) Poured at fridge temperature into a small Alpha-shaker reveals a clear, pale, golden body with plenty of carbonation and one finger of white head that recedes somewhat leaving film and a little lace. Aroma at first has some satisfying hoppy notes of grass that do seem to give way a bit allowing for notes of bread to come to the fore. In the mouth the beer has a standard, semi-oily texture, lively carbonation, a decidedly light body and a short, relatively balanced finish although the hop bittering seems a bit underutilised. Flavour is light but there is a bit of grassy hop note in there, which is enough to prevent the light, pilsener malt backbone to become completely uninteresting. Decent enough for a pale lager but nothing worth writing home about - and yet I do.

From tap. Pours clear and golden yellow, small white head. Bitter, grainy and light grassy. Bitter and crisp hoppy. Dry, bitter and solid hoppy into the finish.

Nettes Pils mit einer leichten Grasigkeit im Hintergrund, die ich ganz angenehm finde. Ansonsten eher getreidig mit etwas Malz und Heu. Recht einfach zu trinken und durchaus frisch zum Schluss.

Bottle from Getränke Beck in Reutlingen. The beer has got a clear deep golden colour with steady low head and medium to crisp body. Aroma of hops and grass. Taste of bitter hops, light malt, grass, citrus fruits and grains. Metallic hints. Little bit on the thin side, yet refreshing and solid.

Sweet malt, grass, still quite dry mouthfeel. Tinny and somewhat metalic. Could have done with a stronger bitter finish, instead you get wet cardboard.

Draught @ BBF13. Pours clear pale golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops with notes of paper. Bitter, hoppy flavour with a refreshing, sweet malty note. Paperlike finish. Not bad.

Draught at BBF13. Mild malty aroma. Clear shiny yellow colour. Good white head. Flowery hop flavour, quite malty. Good dusty and chalky malt note. Not so bitter, more aroma hop than bitter hop, but still well-balanced.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A. BBE 04/2011. Rated on 16.05.2011
Aroma is a bit flat with grainy malt and distant cardboard notes. Flavour has harsh malt, some hops, grainy and grassy notes. Also hints of hay. A bit harsh and flat, the BBE had just gone so a fresh bottle could’ve been better.
