Grain dominated nose, tea underneath. Cloudy rust, thin yellow head. Dried leaves, tea. Medium body, moderate carbonation, very astringent. altonbrownd (5898) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - NOV 22, 2016
Bottle from Total Wine & More, McLean. Golden body with medium head. Nose is sweet, malty, floral. Taste is quite malty with lots citrus and floral notes. Sweet finish. Pretty good. wombat23 (1366) - Texas, USA - NOV 13, 2016
12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber with a cream-colored head. Aroma is malty. Taste is malt, nuts, caramel, brown bread. Bland finish. bpreo (2832) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - SEP 3, 2016
Nothing really stood out to me. It would probably be better enjoyed at room temperature. sloshgator (741) - Orlando, Florida, USA - SEP 2, 2016
Fish Tale Vicious Circle Amber Ale is a decent brew that falls on the red ale side. Deep red pour with a light tan head. Light aroma of caramel. Taste is also caramel and not much else. Vicious Circle is pairs well with foods and won’t overpower.

This beer isn't bad, but I can't imagine I'll remember much else about it other than a "I drank this once" kind of experience. It's s nice color and smells fine, but its smooth taste is about all it has that stands out. Solid beer, not great. IslandHaole (1261) - Misawa, JAPAN - APR 14, 2016
Dark amber, clear, good beige head, nice looking brew in the glass. Lightly roasted malt, earthy, hints of toffee. Nutty lightly sweet malts, traces of Milk Chocolate, Caramel ,Allspice & mineral salts, like a Candy Apple, has a mild bitter follow. Certainly nothing to get excited over, I’m not a huge Amber Ale fan but this is a decent beer. chriszfat (84) - Lake stevens, Washington, USA - APR 3, 2016
Pours slightly cloudy amber with disappearing head. Aroma is nice malty and sweet. Drinks kind of nutty and muddy. Not a fan. bhensonb (15098) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 27, 2016
Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours translucent copper with a beige head. Aroma: malty, nutty, chocolaty - but not strong in any particular. Med body or so. Carbonation is strong, so the flavors were confused at first - but then it went amber. Not very bitter; definitely malty. Finishing with sort of nut/chocolate - mildly. r464 (2360) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 10, 2016
A very nutty and sweet malt flavor dominates. Smooth with a long and lingering finish. Pretty average for the style.
